- Annie meets Arthur and tells him there is a bomb threat against Teo. Arthur tells Annie that Teo is a double agent. Annie goes to Colombia to determine Teo's allegiance. Joan is asked about her qualifications for head position at the agency.—Bernie
- Arthur resents Augie's aggressive attitude about keeping secrets from him and Annie, but reveals his Colombian bastard son Teo being a double agent just in time. The CIA 'sheriff' reluctantly refrains from killing Teo after Annie leads his Colomban men to the terrorist jungle hideout, but tortures him. Refusing to trust Annie, Teo escapes alone, in time to sniper a key cartel boss. Senator Pierson withdraws from the senate commission which seemed to be heading to prevent Joan succeeding Arthur after being presented with blackmail material Joan found while cleaning up Sean's home to cover up his killing by Annie.—KGF Vissers
- Annie meets with Arthur, Deep Throat-style, in a parking garage. She asks where Joan stands on things. He's told her about Teo.
Which is good, because Annie invited Joan to the meeting; she arrives. Annie shows them the file from Henry about the bomb threat from ALC, Teo's group. Arthur confesses that there's more to the story: Teo is a double agent inside ALC. The group was responsible for his mother's death years ago, so Arthur trained him and he infiltrated the group, killing one of their members to prove himself. But Arthur stopped hearing from his regularly, so there's a possibility he's gone rogue. Arthur thinks he's working his cover, but Joan isn't so sure.
Arthur tells Annie to exfiltrate Teo to their safe house in Panama, Arthur will meet her there. Joan says she'll keep Teo separate from the other investigation, but Annie has to act on any real bomb threats. She gives them 48 hours.
At home with Auggie, he worries Arthur is asking too much of her. He gives her a prototype for a phone he invented that's totally untraceable. He volunteers to talk to Joan about Seth's death. She packed his favorite t-shirt.
In Medellin, Colombia, Annie contacts Teo through a courier who brings a package with flowers on it to a door and leaves it there.
Back in DC, Joan faces the Senate Intelligence Committee. Senator Pierson implies that Joan got where she is only thanks to Arthur. Then she asks why they should trust Joan to find threats against the country when Joan didn't even know her husband was cheating on her. Joan can't defend herself without revealing that Arthur's "affair" was a cover.
In the hall, Joan runs into Eric, another candidate for the DCS job. They exchange good wishes.
Auggie waits for her. They take a walk and Auggie tells Joan that Seth Newman was a mole for Henry and Annie had to defend herself against him. They think his body is somewhere in the Potomac. Joan takes it well.
Joan realizes someone needs to go sanitize Seth's place and they can't rely on a CIA cleaner who might be in bed with Henry. Annie can't, Auggie can't, Joan has to do it.
In Colombia, Teo finds Annie after a dead drop. He returns the package to her -- it's an Agency exfil package. She tells him they know about the bomb threat and he needs to come in. He throws the package to the ground and disappears, but Annie has managed to get a GPS tracker on him.
Annie checks in with Auggie.
Joan puts on gloves and breaks into Seth's place. She begins repairing all the damage from his fight with Annie, and scrubbing out the blood stains. She goes to his hidden wall safe and guesses the code on the third try. It's full of cash and files and a gun. There's a file on Senator Pierson.
She takes the framed picture Seth had of the two of them, then she packs up and leaves.
Auggie traces Teo to the jungle with a dozen other people. Annie's not going in alone -- she goes to Calder Matthews, the Medellin bureau chief who's not her biggest fan. She'll give him the location of the ALC stronghold as long as she gets Teo. He agrees.
In DC, Auggie goes to Arthur, angry that Annie is taking a risk for him. He's also upset that Arthur wouldn't let him tell Annie everything, then he told her himself. Arthur warns him again about dating a spy and the risks of having to keep secrets in a relationship.
Annie and Calder hike through the jungle with a team, looking for Teo and the ALC. She reiterates she wants Teo taken alive. They surround the camp. A helicopter closes in from above and they lay down cover fire as operators repel from above. The terrorists run as the CIA team closes in on them and takes them down. Several terrorists are killed. They find a stockpile of bomb materials.
Calder gets to Teo before Annie does and she has to stop him from shooting him. Calder takes Teo into custody.
At a CIA Black Site in Colombia, Calder strings up Teo and interrogates him about the bomb target. He beats him. Annie watches, unable to say anything. When Calder gets ready to electrocute Teo, Annie intervenes, asking to talk with Teo alone.
When they're alone, Annie tells him Arthur told him about his mission and if he tells her the target, she can help him. He says he has no idea what she's talking about, then kicks her over and tells her to kill him or get out.
Annie calls Joan and describes him as "combative." Joan authorizes extraordinary measures. She also tells Annie she knows about Seth and she has her support.
Annie finds a flyer in the warehouse that interests her. She's about to go back in to Teo when she sees him escaping. She runs after him, with Calder close behind her. Teo gets away.
Calder arms up his men and prepares to go after Teo, but Annie stops him, saying she knows what the target is.
The brochure is for Jardin National hotel, where Solstar executives are arriving today to meet. Calder calls in his bomb squad. "I so do not trust your ass," Calder tells her.
Back in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Joan prepares to make her closing statement. She hands out prepared materials. There are compromising photos in the packet she hands to Senator Pierson, whose entire demeanor changes after looking at the images. Unsteadily, she recuses herself. (We don't see who is pictured, only that they involve naked people in bed.)
In Colombia, Calder's teams swarm the hotel. Annie eyes the surrounding buildings, spots a quick glint and goes into one with a good vantage point, finding Teo setting up a shot with a sniper rifle.
She closes in on him with her gun drawn. He apologizes for kicking her, saying CIA black sites are wired and he couldn't risk blowing his cover.
But he won't put down his rifle, saying people will die if he does. He asks her to trust him. Annie has to decide whether o shoot him or let him shoot.
He shoots a valet, then explains he's one of ALC's top guys.
Down on the ground, Calder finds the dead man was wired with explosives.
Annie suggests Teo stick with ALC as they expand. She gives him her untraceable cell phone. She wants real intel in exchange for letting him go. He gives her the names of two Chinese nationals in DC who move the money for the guy he just shot.
Annie joins Calder on the ground but doesn't tell him she found Teo and that he killed the bomber. Calder is highly suspicious that the bomber just happened to be shot dead. Annie thanks him and prepares to leave the country.
The gifts pour in for Joan, including one from Henry Wilcox. Joan disdainfully puts it in the trash.
Annie joins Arthur. He's disappointed Teo isn't with her, but she assures him Teo is still working his mission.
Annie buys a new cell phone and calls Auggie. She flies home and makes it back to Auggie's waiting arms.
