Poignant moments, some great acting. CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Warning: Spoilers
This episode contained some fantastic interactions between the major characters which added much insight to their motivations. The most significant were Elijah and Hayley, Klaus and Hayley, Klaus and Marcel. But the interaction with greatest significance for the future is Rebekah and Klaus. I think she will drive the action forward in future episodes.

The chemistry between Elijah and Hayley is among the best on TV.. They had more chemistry in one look than Klaus and Cami have had all season. The producers need to stop trying to make Klaus and Cami happen.

I am excited about the new witches especially Celeste. So much potential for great things to come from them. I can only hope that Sophie will be less prominent going forward now that stronger witches have been introduced.

And lastly there was Davina's demise. It was time as her character never truly meshed with the show.

Watching this episode as a teen adult is illegal and frustrating.

Warning: Spoilers
So the series started off with Marcel having an all-powerful witch who hates other witches for killing innocent young witches as a part of the harvest and reap ritual. Now I bore with the fact that the all-powerful witch-girl took all of the power passed on to her and believed the part that the harvest ritual was actually working, but not the part that said the girls would be resurrected. So convenient, right? I excused that thing for a while. Now I watched the first 10 episodes thinking that there'll exist some miracle loophole that prevents her from dying; because classic TVD storyline imprint (which I love by the way). But what frustrated me was the fact that if the witch-girl (Davina) had to die eventually, then what was the point behind all the conflicts, wars, alliances, and betrayals, that took place just to try and save her? SAVE HER!? Was there even a point? I felt cheated about having to sit through all those 10 episodes just to learn that the one person whom everyone except the witches was supposed save died. I mean, wtf!? I suppose I should've completed The Originals when I completed TVD (at 13).

The 5-star rating I gave is only because of the direction, cinematography and performances of the actors involved.

Davina Is Dying
vivianla4 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Klaus comes back saying Davina is tucked away safe and sound. Marcel goes to see her but she is outraged that Tim is dead. Klaus goes to check in on the ruckus and sees Davina throwing up dirt. Elijah goes out to find a witch - Sophie. A small earthquake occurs and Rebekah asks Klaus what happened. She wears black, flared pants and it looks really good on her. Before leaving Hayley confesses she told Sophie where Celeste was buried. Sophie is shown the drawing of Celeste that Davina made. A rumble of the earth occurs and Sophie asks if that was Davina? Rebekah replies yes and she is vomiting dirt on top of it. Sophie says this is not a good sign - they have less time than she thought. The Harvest must be carried out or there will be natural disasters in the order of earth, wind, water, then fire. Sophie starts to consecrate Celeste with Sabine and Elijah watching at the graveyard. Sophie says there is no magic. Elijah wonders if they can use their mother for the Harvest. Rebekah finds Marcel and Davina after speaking to Thierry and convinces them to come to the graveyard. Davina offers herself and Sophie slits her throat. Sophie asks for the resurrection of the girls and after eyebrow furrowing realizes it didn't work. She collapses, crying.
