Ioan Gruffudd’s Australian crime drama Harrow is heading to the UK after Discovery and BBC Studios-backed broadcaster UKTV struck a five-show deal with Hollywood studio deal.
The volume deal also includes Katy Mixon’s American Housewife, the first U.S. comedy picked up by the broadcaster after an extensive sitcom search, and Jodie Whittaker-fronted The Assets as well as the return of Quantico and Code Black.
Harrow, which will air on UKTV’s Alibi, co-created by Secrets & Lies writer Stephen M. Irwin and producer Leigh McGrath tells the story of Dr. Daniel Harrow, played by Gruffudd, who is no ordinary forensic pathologist, whose unfailing empathy for the dead help him solve even the most bizarre of cases. The series is produced by ABC Studios International in association with Australian producer Hoodlum.
Season three of Quantico, which stars Priyanka Chopra as FBI recruit Alex Parrish, also returns to Alibi.

Jodie Whittaker's casting as the 13th Doctor in Doctor Who builds on an already-impressive body of work...

Jodie Whittaker is the 13th Doctor. This Christmas, for the first time in over 50 years of Doctor Who, the Time Lord will become a Time Lady, and arguably, it's about time. There are those who will have been waiting for this for a very long time, and those who are (let's charitably say) trepidatious about the casting decision, but anyone who's familiar with Whittaker's work should be thrilled.
She will first appear in this year's Christmas special, when Peter Capaldi regenerates, and will make her full-time debut in next year's series. She's worked with new executive producer Chris Chibnall before, playing grieving...

It appears that ABC intends for The Assets to be a mini-series with just eight episodes. But, if the show is a big hit in the ratings, can a second season be far behind? What will happen? Stay tuned!
The Assets revolves around the real life events of CIA counter-intelligence officers Sandy Grimes (Jodie Whittaker) and Jeanne Vertefeuille (Harriet Walter) and their search for the most notorious traitor in Us History, Aldrich Ames (Paul Rhys). Others in the cast include Stuart Milligan, Julian Ovenden, Christina Cole, and Ralph Brown.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show's likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available -- usually the next day, around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest.

With the holidays in the rearview mirror and pilot season revving into high gear, the time has come for the major networks to unveil the programming they didn’t deem good enough for a much-hyped fall premiere. Midseason shows can be great (“Moonlighting”!) or they can fail miserably (any spring at NBC), so program your DVRs with care. But good or not, there will always be an actor or two worth seeking out. CBS, the Goliath of the Big Four, has only one midseason series scheduled: “Intelligence,” starring Josh Holloway as a spy with a computer chip embedded in his brain and Marg Helgenberger looking out for him. Since it’s CBS, expect a lot of procedural and not too much questioning of what that means, ethically. (And put a pin in the net’s upcoming adaptation of the Cameron Diaz movie “Bad Teacher,” starring Ari Graynor and not yet on the schedule.
