This was a nice character piece, discussing how the past continues through generations but weakens every time. It questions morality and appreciates aesthetic value. Just as the daughter stares at the portrait of his grandfather while drawing, we stare at the characters' faces in long takes, as if they're paintings, to connect on an emotional level.
