As the Bachelor franchise continues to air, production has their hands full coming up with new date ideas. In this season of The Bachelorette, fans have seen more unique date ideas than ever before.
In this past episode, the production team and creator Mike Fleiss went the extra mile and provided Bachelor Nation with a more risqué group date than has been done in the past.
When Gabby Windey took her remaining men, Jason Alabaster, Johnny DePhillipo, Erich Schwer, Logan Palmer, and Spencer Swies, to the red light district in Amsterdam, things got real.
During the group date, Gabby’s guys had to come up with safe words in case they didn’t want to answer the intimate question that was asked by Gabby or the woman in charge.

Leslye Headland is best known for directing raunchy comedies “Bachelorette” and “Sleeping with Other People” and for co-creating Netflix’s “Russian Doll,” which makes her an invigorating and unconventional-on-paper choice to serve as showrunner of a “Star Wars” television series. Headland is behind “Star Wars: The Acolyte,” which Disney confirmed last December as part of its “Star Wars” streaming series expansion. Not much is known about the series other than it being set during the final days of the High Republic, an era which pre-dates George Lucas’ original “Star Wars.” With the setting not so beholden to the Skywalker saga, Headland could take more risks with her writers’ room.
“Mostly what I looked for were people that I felt could execute a great script, number one,” Headland recently told Av Club about finding writers for her “Star Wars” series. “And then in the job interview, just really talking to people...

The saddest night of my life was the 2012 Los Angeles premiere of my film “Bachelorette.” It was not without warning.
Earlier that year, when my directorial debut premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, I was flooded with both relief and anxiety: relief, because my work was being recognized; anxiety, because when your dreams come true and you’re not living as your authentic self, it is a particularly painful experience. After years preparing for failure, nothing had prepared me for success.
Months later, at the premiere, I was blonder, thinner and “straight”-er than I’d ever been. My hotel was...

Next month, Netflix is rolling out a ton of great new Halloween-themed content, including a bunch of must-see originals like The Haunting of Bly Manor, A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting and Rebecca. Unfortunately, though, it’s also losing a lot of horror films in October that would’ve made for perfect seasonal viewing.
On October 2nd, both Cult of Chucky – the last Chucky flick before the reboot – and Truth or Dare – that’s the 2017 TV movie, not the 2018 Blumhouse production – are being removed from Netflix’s library. The bulk of the horror titles leaving in October are, ironically, being removed on October 31st, though. So, if you’re hoping to do an Underworld marathon this Halloween or rewatch classics like Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow or The Silence of the Lambs, make sure you don’t leave it until the day itself.

Netflix is no stranger to underrated and overlooked comedies. The addition of films like Sex Drive, Wine Country and Sleeping With Other People prove that there’s plenty for comedy fans to watch if they’re willing to dig for lesser-known but utterly hilarious content. One such underrated flick has been making its way up the service’s Top 10 list over the past 24 hours, and it’s well worth checking out if you’re a Seth Rogen fan.
After dropping on June 1st, the 2009 comedy Observe and Report took very little time to garner plenty of attention. It currently sits at #9 on the Top 10 Movies list, and while this occasionally mean-spirited film might be an acquired taste, it’s a hell of a good time if you can deal with its darker elements.

“Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story,” the new season of the true-crime anthology series on USA (June 2 at 9 p.m.), stars Amanda Peet as the titular character — a San Diego housewife whose husband, Dan (Christian Slater), cruelly discards her, for which she takes murderous revenge. The story, as laid out by creator Alexandra Cunningham, unfolds over decades in two timelines: one showing Betty and Dan in a happier past, the other in their miserable present. During the coronavirus pandemic, Peet (“Togetherness”) has been sheltering in place in Los Angeles with her husband, David Benioff, the co-creator of “Game of Thrones,” and their children. “We definitely count our blessings every day,” she says.

Indie horror film “The Wretched” is inching toward a milestone, eyeing the top spot on box office charts for the fifth weekend in a row. It’s a rare feat that hasn’t been achieved since Marvel’s superhero juggernaut “Black Panther” debuted in 2018.

More than 60 years after its release, “Bicycle Thieves” is a profound lesson on how to survive tough times, but often not appreciated that way. While widely considered in saccharine terms, it actually offers a bleak assessment of humanity’s worst impulses. For years mislabeled as “The Bicycle Thief,” the original title of Vittorio De Sica’s neorealist masterpiece actually gets the point across much better. The story is less focused on the murky figure who stole the bike that Ricci (Lamberto Maggiorani) was using for his meager job putting up posters around Rome. Instead, as Ricci himself grows desperate in the film’s closing moments, “Bicycle Thieves” exposes the endless cycle of corruption that comes out of hard times, and how self-interest so often trumps the impulse to do the right thing. Decades later, that message resonates more than ever.

Netflix has announced a new partnership with M2K Films that will bring heavyweight auteurs such as Charlie Chaplin, François Truffaut, Jacques Demy, Alain Resnais, Krzysztof Kieślowski, and more to the streaming platform. The deal is set to bring 50 movies from the MK2 Films catalogue to Netflix throughout 2020, beginning April 24 with the launch of 12 Truffaut classics: “Bed and Board,” “Fahrenheit 451,” “Confidentially Yours,” “Jules and Jim,” “Love on the Run,” “Shoot the Piano Player,” “Stolen Kisses,” “The 400 Blows,” “The Last Metro,” “The Soft Skin,” “The Woman Next Door,” and “Two English Girls.”

The romantic comedy hasn’t always been such a strangely chaste genre — even mainstream mega-hits like “Pretty Woman” and “Shakespeare in Love” are both rated R and include actual sex scenes — but recent rom-com entries have consistently hedged on the side of purely PG-13 affection. Big box office winners and cultural touchstones like “Crazy Rich Asians” and “Love, Simon” kept it relatively clean, and even R-rated offerings like “Trainwreck” and “What Men Want” are mostly occupied with sex as a means to amp up the humor. The romance? Not so much.
