They Say The Neon Lights Are Bright, But There Aren't Any
boblipton11 November 2023
Here's another of the Lumieres' views of a major urban nexus, applied to my hometown. I can't tell where on the Great White Way it is set. There is a church spire in the distance, but the main focus is on the nearby square, where three streetcar lines intersect, with the streetcars clearly visible. It might be any of the major intersections from Wall Street up to Times Square -- then still known as Longacre, despite the recent arrival of the New York Times building at the southern end of that well-known spot.

There are also assortments of horse-drawn vehicles, and well-dressed men walking across the movie screen.
