South Central Los Angeles. Summer 1991. Preston Harris (Tyahn McCray), a young African-American child, struggles to come to terms with his mother's passing. While his father Derrick (Hassan Johnson; HBO's The Wire, Brooklyn's Finest) and older brother Redtop (Freddie Pee) are blind to his concerns, Preston sets out on a harrowing journey that has very real consequences. A day in the life of this inner-city child, Preston's journey of discovery and his eventual awakening paints a picture that serves to not only define his view of the world but his subsequent place within it.
