Daniël and his sister convince father Anton the zoo must adopt a foundling monkey, but it seems to refuse all known food. Daniel's family and gang don't know who to trust when a ray-fish is stolen from the zoo aquarium. Apparently vexed that the gang still doesn't trust him blindly, juvenile parolee Tsjardo, who helps father Anton observing the staff, refuses to help them set a trap. Hvaing found an Internet site which auctions protected animals, the kids fake-order a tiger cub 'like the two just born in the zoo'.
