The widower Horrie is a retired man that misses his wife and has a sedentary life. One day, he finds the advertisement of a beautiful woman in a magazine for singles and he decides to date her. However, when he looks at the mirror, he is scared with his dark teeth, ear hair, flaccid face, big belly, gray hair and an old ocular prosthesis.
Horrie decides to use products that he has at home and his makeover improves his appearance, making him look younger. Then he meets Elsie and together with her dog, they spend a wonderful day. But when Elsie sneezes in his convertible old car, they discover things about makeover.
"Makeover" is one of the funniest comedies that I have recently seen. This short of 7 minutes running time has a concise screenplay and the director and writer Don Percy succeeds in making a highly entertaining short that was awarded in the second prize in the Troffst Festival in Australia. My vote is ten.
