Stephanie is an idiot. Larry is an idiot and a crook

Warning: Spoilers
Stephanie thinks she saves money doing things that are completely backward.

1) She exclusively uses disposable plastic utensils; clear plastic forks are featured. She could easily thrift some decent stainless flatware, which would clean up better and be much more durable and save her money.

2) Cooking lasagna in a throw away aluminum pan wrapped in a triple layer of aluminum foil in a dishwasher is ridiculous. Everyone hated the result and then she has wasted all that foil. Apparently buying a $10 pyrex 9 x 13 lasagna pan once in her life is beyond the pale.

3) She scrapes half eaten food back into jars for re-use, causing food poisoning to her family and friends on several occasions. How is that a good idea? One trip to the emergency room vs. a cup of tainted pasta sauce. Do the math. Maybe she should just reduce serving sizes instead?

Larry, the self-employed mechanic, is bitter from his expensive divorce, so now takes it out on his staff and his customers and his potential girlfriends.

1) He says he saves electricity by tapping off customer batteries for various purposes. Then, to recharge the batteries, he starts and runs the customer vehicles at the customer's expense. Gas and wear. This is basically stealing.

2) He cooks all his food on a portable grill, which is much more expensive energy-wise than almost any regular kitchen range.

3) He washes his customers' car windows with feminine hygiene pads and cola, leaving behind a film of sugar, and questionable cost savings. Apparently he's never heard of vinegar and newsprint.

He brags about being the cheapest mechanic in town. I hope he made enough money from this episode to make up for the business he will lose from this.

Despite the people featured being idiots, the show is very entertaining!
