Effective in getting message across

I'm rating Remember Me a 6/10 primarily because of its effectiveness. The makers of this short set out to get across the importance of quality customer service - and they succeed. Filmed in 1981, the message still resonates. The Customer (played nicely by Will Gerard) faces the same poor customer service scenarios that we all face in our day-to-day lives. And he responds just as most of us would - he accepts it quietly and moves on. But the point the short makes is that while we may not complain or anything like that, we do have the last word. We tell our friends about or poor customer service experiences. And word-of-mouth is an awfully powerful form of negative advertising. Very nicely done.

Of all the Rifftrax and MST3K shorts I've seen, Remember Me is probably one of the best and most effective of its kind. The riffing is good, but the short is actually good on its own (though probably not overly entertaining).

"I'm the customer."

Warning: Spoilers
This is the story of the customer. He doesn't have a name but he really doesn't need one. We can all attach our names to this regular Joe Schmoe. He goes to the bank where he waits in a line and is annoyed. He goes to the mechanic where he is ignored. He goes to pick up his luggage at the airport and finds it all strewn about. He is taken advantage of at every turn. He's kind of like William Foster from Falling Down except he doesn't kill anybody or pull out a gun. Here he offers advice to other customers on where to go for good treatment. He's the customer. He's one of us that speaks for all of us. And it makes for a good Rifftrax. So to the big companies that try to take advantage of us, watch this film. You can't rid yourself of our complaints because we are the customers.
