We’re the Millers fans aren’t likely to find out what happened to David, Rose, Kenny, and Casey because a sequel isn’t in the cards.
The 2013 comedy left fans with a cliffhanger. “The Millers” ended up in witness protection, living in the suburbs, running a marijuana side hustle. Questions were left unanswered like: Did David and Rose really end up together? And what role do Kenny and Casey play in the faux family?
We’re the Millers 2 ‘is probably not gonna happen’
Actor Will Poulter who played Kenny Miller said that he doesn’t think a sequel will ever happen. “I don’t think so, but I got a lot of love for Jennifer [Aniston] and Jason [Sudeikis] and Rawson [Marshall Thurber], our director. I would happily work with any of them again, but I think We’re Still the Millers is probably not gonna happen,” he told US Weekly in 2022.

A sequel to New Line’s surprise smash, We’re The Millers, was practically a given- since the film grabbed a worldwide cume of $270 million on a $37 Million budget. But it’s taken until now for the studio to begin putting all the pieces together. Variety is reporting that they’ve hired Adam Sztykiel (Due Date) to write the sequel, with director Rawson Marshall Thurber back at the helm.
The original centered on the misadventure of a fake family, lead by Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis, that staged a vacation as a way to secretly smuggle 1,400 pounds of marijuana into the Us. Their make-believe kids were played by Emma Roberts and Will Poulter. The film opened on August 17, 2012 to take-it-or-leave-it 50/50 reviews, and it looks like plenty of people decided to “take it.” Similar to Identity Thief, another glossy low-brow comedy that wasn’t a critical darling yet went on to do amazingly well,...
