Not much has been changed in the Hindi remake of the Malayalam-Tamil-Kannada blockbuster Drishyam. Says director Nishikant Kamat, "I've retained a lot of the original. The biggest re-tweaking we did was in the playing time. While the original film is 3 hours long I've cut down Drishyam to just over 2 1/2 hours. The seaside location of the original is in Drishyam, though I've relocated the drama to Goa."
There are embellishments in the Hindi version of Drishyam. Says Nishikant, "I've also added things to the plot that were not there in the original. There is that whole sequence of Ajay Devgn in the Atm booth where he makes sure the CCTV captures him. Tabu's interval point entry was not there in the original."
The director is all praise for his actors. "Ajay was willing to completely surrender to play the middleclass family man. Not once did he demand a fight or stunt just to appease his fans.

The second installment of Kyaa Kool Hain Hum titled Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum that released two years back was well received by the audiences. Now we hear that the producers, Balaji Motion Pictures, are planning a third installment in the series. However, it seems like the makers have met with numerous hurdles, one being the sudden opting out of people coming for auditions. In fact a source close to the film says, "Yes, there were a few people who had come for the auditions of the film, but once they read what they were to enact, quite a few were shocked and couldn't complete the audition." Simultaneously Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures says, "Considering the sexual content in the first two parts, the third will have to be bigger and better. So yes there is a lot more of such content in the film." Interestingly, though we hear that Riteish Deshmukh,...

Bollywood and Marathi cinema actor Shreyas Talpade recently ventured into production and direction with Poshter Boyz but now we hear that his debut film as a director became a victim of piracy. Apparently, his film is being sold through pirated DVDs. A miffed Shreyas registered a complaint with Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria at the anti piracy cell recently. Shreyas stated that being co-operative, the Police Commissioner immediately decided to take action against the culprits and currently an investigation is going on to track down the accused. He has even alerted the police force throughout the state of Maharashtra. Moreover, Shreyas Talpade himself has started his own search for the criminals but he maintained they do not have any suspects as of now. Though the director-producer claimed that they haven't incurred too much of losses as yet since the movie is still running packed in theatres, he is sure that...

Kick is a blockbuster, and it is just a matter of profits that it makes from this point on. Now that the statement has been made, let’s come down to some bare facts. First and foremost, the film has managed to score its first week in the excess of 160 crore. Now that’s next only to Dhoom 3 which had a first week reading of 189 crore. Just like the Aamir Khan starrer, even Kick was an event release. However, Dhoom 3 was third in the series of a super popular franchise with a superstar who makes selective appearances. Here, Salman was coming barely six months after Jai Ho and that too in a ‘masala’ genre. Nevertheless, many other records have been created in just a week’s time period. This is now seventh straight Salman Khan century, hence taking forward the winning streak that started with Dabangg. Secondly, Sajid Nadiadwala now...
