- Lenore: My beautiful girl... My firstborn...
- Freya Mikaelson: [snarls] Touch me, and I will use these chains to strangle you!
- Klaus Mikaelson: Yes, well, now that we have the pleasantries out the way, let's begin, shall we?
- Klaus Mikaelson: [taking bondage implements out of cabinet] I should stop packing these away. There's always one family member or another in need of a good shackling!
- [to Marcel:]
- Klaus Mikaelson: Find Rebekah or Eva or whoever the bloody hell that was! Use these to stop her from doing magic. And don't hurt her. The non-psychopathic bits are still my sister!
- Gia: [Hayley is not at all happy to see that Elijah's assistant is a beautiful young woman] I'm gonna go see if I can find Josephine.
- [goes off]
- Hayley Marshall: Well, now I see why you didn't answer my call.
- [sweetly:]
- Hayley Marshall: Did she have to come with us?
- Elijah Mikaelson: Josephine LaRue can be rather recalcitrant. She is, however, enamored with Gia's musical prowess, cavalier spirit...
- Hayley Marshall: Hmm. So the baby vamp is now the witch whisperer.
- [Elijah gives a long-suffering sigh]
- Hayley Marshall: I'm just glad that you found someone so multitalented to spend your time with.
- Elijah Mikaelson: What exactly do you want from me?
- [looks at her, she returns his gaze, but doesn't offer any answer]
- Elijah Mikaelson: Madame LeRue...
- Josephine LaRue: Mr. Mikaelson.
- [gets a kiss on the cheek]
- Josephine LaRue: Mm.
- [and another one]
- Josephine LaRue: Have you come to impress me once more with young Gia's rare talents?
- [takes notice of Hayley]
- Josephine LaRue: What, pray tell, does this one do?
- Elijah Mikaelson: This one is family... madame.
- [Hayley smiles]
- Elijah Mikaelson: We've come to ask a favor.
- Freya Mikaelson: [coming down the stairs, finds Klaus looking at Rebekah's portrait] Our sister was quite the beauty.
- Klaus Mikaelson: [snaps] You said that you could put Rebekah back in her original body. Do it.
- Freya Mikaelson: [chuckles] So, you've come to your senses.
- Klaus Mikaelson: [austere] My senses have not faltered. They still demand that you are not to be trusted. However, circumstance dictates otherwise for now.
- Freya Mikaelson: What's changed?
- Klaus Mikaelson: Eva Sinclair has resumed control of her body, leaving Rebekah trapped and powerless. So make with your spells and enchantments, and put my sister back in her true body!
- Freya Mikaelson: I'm afraid it's not that simple.
- Klaus Mikaelson: More stalling. Very well. I know I can't kill you, but I shall have a fine time trying. Tell me,
- [sweetly:]
- Klaus Mikaelson: have you ever been skinned alive?
- Freya Mikaelson: The problem is Rebekah's condition has worsened. When I offered to help, she was in control of Eva's body. She's lost inside Eva. I don't have a spell that can reach Eva's mind and find her.
- Klaus Mikaelson: Fortunately for you, I know someone well versed in such spells.
- [in one lightning-quick move, he has the cuffs on Freya]
- Klaus Mikaelson: Let's go meet her, shall we?
- Freya Mikaelson: [at Esther's tomb] You won't trust me, but you would trust her?
- Klaus Mikaelson: I trust my mother about as much as I would a stuck snake. Fortunately she is now a vampire, and as such, vulnerable to my compulsion.
- Eva Sinclair: What? You're not fishing for a thank-you, I hope?
- Klaus Mikaelson: I'd find myself freezing in hell before I got one from you. Well, come on then, let's get you back in your proper body. Though I'll likely have to torture Freya and Esther to do so, which actually might be quite fun.
- Lenore: Freya...!
- Freya Mikaelson: You were wrong about me. I loathed Dahlia more than you could ever know.
- [sneers]
- Freya Mikaelson: You don't see that light in me? That's because she snuffed it out. I was five... and she was the devil! She took... my light... my love... my will to live...
- [soft hiss:]
- Freya Mikaelson: my ability to die. You're no longer my mother... but I am not her child.
- Lenore: I am so sorry.
- Freya Mikaelson: [soft hiss] It's a little late for that. But it turns out you were right about one thing. Maybe Klaus shouldn't have let me glimpse inside his mind.
- Lenore: I warned him to be wary of you... of what you might see.
- Freya Mikaelson: Oh, I saw quite a bit. But I only learned one thing. Klaus and I... can never be allies. I now see that he will never trust me. So he leaves me no choice. I will have to turn the family against him. One by one. And now I know how to do it.
- Lenore: Why are you telling me this?
- Freya Mikaelson: [moves in for the kill] Because you won't be around to see it!
- Hayley Marshall: [to old Josephine LaRue] Are you serious? She puts on a talent show, he has every vampire in the Quarter kissing your ass, and your final answer is "screw you"?
- Gia: [tries to intervene] Hayley...
- Hayley Marshall: Back off!
- Elijah Mikaelson: We came here to honor the alliance between us. If this is something you wish to rescind, so be it.
- [turns, walks away]
- Josephine LaRue: Don't you dare walk into my house and threaten me! I am not the one that needs you, Elijah Mikaelson, it is you who needs us. Or... you will soon enough.
- [to Hayley, ominously:]
- Josephine LaRue: There is a storm... coming, chere... and your darkest... demons ride upon it. I do not know its name, but when I peer... into your future, there is a blackness... that should terrify you...
- [Hayley swallows hard]
- Freya Mikaelson: [Klaus sneers at how touching Lenore's excuses sound] Isn't it? I always wondered what maternal compassion sounded like. Of course I wouldn't know, because you sold me into slavery at the age of five!
- Eva Sinclair: [as Rebekah] There's a saying in my family. "Kill a demon today... face the devil tomorrow." Yet even as you dance on that demon's grave... you can't help but wonder... was that demon alone? Or do you have other... deadlier ones to fight?
- Freya Mikaelson: Come to shackle me again, brother?
- Klaus Mikaelson: Maybe you've managed to worm your way into the witches' good graces. And my siblings' too. But I see you... for what you really are... even if they cannot.
- Freya Mikaelson: They are not burdened by crippling paranoia. The kind that leaves you muttering to yourself, alone in the dark: "Where has everyone gone?" Mean of me, yes. Shouldn't bring up your childhood secrets. But don't worry, all I saw when I channeled you were anger issues and a questionable taste in women. I was... once alone, brother. It would be a shame if... you were the one who now found himself solo. It doesn't have to be like this, of course. But be careful. I have only so much patience.
- [walks away]
