The Blood Harvest features Northern Irish parkour wizard Matt McCreary who wowed UK audiences with his opening act on Britain's Got Talent 2015.
The story for the film was created when director George Clarke and his husband, producer Kenny Martin had a flight canceled from Leeds to Belfast. Stuck overnight, they started coming up with ideas for a quick shoot which became The Blood Harvest.
Shot in 20 days over a few months due to cast and crew restrictions, weather problems and nailing down locations.
The original script called for victim Julie to try an escape with an old wheelchair after battling the half dead victim who was sitting in it. Director George Clarke was gutted that this didn't get filmed.
Yellow Fever Productions regular Vivian Jamison (Battle Of The Bone; The Last Light; Onus) was due to play a major role as one of the killers. Due to poor health, changes had to be made removing her from the project altogether, but her daughter Lisa stepped in to open the movie as the first victim.
