The very first feature length narrative film to use Equity Crowdfunding in the United States. Equity Crowdfunding is a new law that lets those who put money into the movie actually own a piece of the film and get profits from it (instead of getting a tee shirt or other reward like with Kickstarter).
The original title was "The War On Christmas," but was changed because it sounded too political.
A portion of the profits from the film will go to Lil Bub's Big Fund for the ASPCA, which is a charity for animals with special needs.
While raising funds for the movie, the producers watched Lil BUB cat videos during work breaks. They loved her so much that they wrote her into the movie.
