Angel from Hell would be kind of a contradiction in terms unless you’re talking about Jane Lynch as the angel since, let’s face it, almost every character she’s played as been someone you’d love to see slapped by another female cast member for one thing or another. But for all that you still can’t deny that Lynch is great since she’s the type of person that makes you stare at her wide-eyed since you can’t really believe she said that or went there. That would probably be why she’d be the perfect angel that seemed sent from the opposite direction

Kevin Pollak and Georgina Reilly have joined the hockey biopic “Goalie,” opposite Mark O’Brien as the famed goaltender, Terry Sawchuk.
“Goalie” is directed by Adriana Maggs from a screenplay by Maggs and her sister Jane Maggs. The film is based in part on the book of poetry “Night Work by Randall Maggs and “Sawchuk: The Troubles and Triumphs of the World’s Greatest Goalie” by David Dupuis.
Pollak will play Jack Adams, aka “Trader Jack,” the Detroit Red Wings General Manager. Reilly takes on the role of Patricia Morey, who became first Sawchuk’s girlfriend, then wife.
The story follows Swchuck’s charracter being haunted by the void left from his troubled childhood, which he tried to fill with cheering crowds. The story will explore Sawchuk’s youth in Winnipeg to Detroit, Boston, Toronto, Los Angeles, and New York between 1950 and 1970 — during which he recorded 103 shutouts and 400 stitches to his face.

TV trends come and go, but who would’ve thought that, with all the focus on inclusion in the past few years, there would now be an uptick of, as IndieWire’s Michael Schneider puts it, “white dudes in crisis” on TV?
To fill the diversity void, the networks have added actors of color to supporting roles. It’s heartening to see that this has created a more realistic picture on TV of what the world looks like, such as the marriage between Zach Braff’s and Tiya Sircar’s characters on “Alex Inc.” representing the growing number of mixed-race marriages in America. Unfortunately, it’s also disappointing to see so many of these favorite actresses get shunted from one supporting role to the next.

The changes, they keep a-coming at the Bau.
One is in and another is temporarily out in the end, but first, there's a bizarre serial killer (if that's not redundant) to find on Criminal Minds Season 12 Episode 8.
I liked that the unsub was a man who had been psychologically warped by his religious zealot of a father, to the point that he's walking around his barn dressed like a scarecrow.
Talk about your radical Christianity! Look at all the victims that eventually resulted from one man's fanaticism.
And his neighbors are clueless. That nice young fella down the road, when he's not wrapping up dead prostitutes in burlap and barbed wire, never a good look.
It was effective how the desperate sex worker/young mom tapped into the unsub's daddy issues to eventually gain his sympathy and get herself set free.
Stabbing him in the back and running blindly through...

The post-Hotch Bau continues to gel as they track down an unlikely predator along the Appalachian Trail.
Rossi announces that Hotch is available for consultation while still on temporary duty. But no one picks up the phone to call since they're busy trying to find an unsub who is chopping up hikers in Criminal Minds Season 12 Episode 4.
Command duties are still seemingly split between Rossi and Prentiss, with him in the field in the boons of Virginia and her back at the Bau, leaning over Garcia's shoulder. My money is still on Rossi, whenever producers get around to dealing with Hotch's departure.
Apparently the two sites are fairly close together, as team members are hurling back and forth in no time. Apparently they know shortcuts around the Beltway.
The unsub is an obvious red herring, as the homeless man, Todd Burton, lacks the cunning to pull off the murders.

Freshman drama Rush Hour won’t be returning to CBS for a sophomore run, after the network confirmed plans to quietly cancel the action spinoff after its inaugural season.
Initially pitched as a reimagining of the feature film series of the same name – which began life in 1997, starring Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan – CBS’ small-screen rendition of Rush Hour struggled to garner any sense of momentum since it first debuted earlier in 2016. It’ll continue airing until the end of the season, where Justin Hires and Jon Foo play the parts of Detective James Carter and Chief Inspector Lee, respectively.
Alas, middling reviews and low ratings effectively sealed the network’s decision, and it’s understood CBS had been shopping around the series in an attempt to find a home prior to today’s cancellation. It appears that Rush Hour‘s fate has been sealed though and, after just a brief spell on TV,...

CBS has canceled freshman drama "Rush Hour," based on the 1997 movie of the same name, after one season.
Starting in late March, it opened to soft numbers and little interest - even with DVR and on-line viewing taken into account. In its timeslot it nabbed a 1.2 rating and 6 million in Live+7, well below the numbers procedural "Elementary" scores in the same hour.
The news comes shortly after CBS renewed two of its other freshman dramas, "Code Black" and "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders," has shipped "Supergirl" off to The CW, officially cancelled "Angel From Hell" and has seemingly cancelled "Limitless" but is expected to shop that around.

On paper, Rush Hour was a pretty suitable addition to CBS’ Thursday lineup — an hourlong action comedy joining the network’s two-hour comedy block.
