Hilarious and constantly entertaining take on the ins and outs of being a professional wrestling fan, and what it means to these particular guys. My husband and I laughed throughout the entire film. Documentaries are tricky, because you run the risk of losing your viewer to boredom. There was no danger of this with "Marking Out." Information, background, and opinions struck a perfect harmony with humor and entertainment from beginning to end. I would recommend it to any current and/or former pro wrestling fan, as well as people who have never watched a match. Each would find something of value here. I hope there is more to come!

I went into this movie as someone who not only knew next to nothing about professional wrestling, I openly mocked it any time it was brought up. A friend of mine who watches wrestling talked me into watching this on Amazon and I'm so ashamed of the way I used to feel. After the movie I actually wanted to watch some matches! The movie itself is obviously low budget but it's so unique and strange and so fun it's easy to overlook some of the more amateurish techniques (some focus issues, bad lighting in places, sound problems). It feels a little long but that's a minor criticism. All in all though, it changed my mind about something and when does a movie ever do that?!
