For the Australian alt-dance trio Rüfüs Du Sol, playing Coachella feels like returning to a home away from home. Composed of Tyrone Lindqvist on vocals, Jon George on keys, and James Hunt on drums, the group had long dreamed of playing the California festival before they showcased their album Bloom, a celestial 11-track house album, at Coachella in 2016, followed by a live set in the desert in 2019.

RÜFÜS Du Sol have extended their tour dates all the way through August 2023. In addition to their previously-announced shows in Latin America and Europe, the electronic trio have announced a handful of North American dates for this summer.
Once their Latin America and Europe tour legs end with their performance at Mad Cool Festival in Madrid, RÜFÜS Du Sol will then come stateside with back-to-back nights at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway on August 1st and 2nd. Then they’ll make stops at Montreal’s Osheaga Festival, Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, Indianapolis’s Tcu Amphitheater at White River State Park, Cincinnati’s The Icon Festival Stage at Smale Park, Cleveland’s Jacobs Pavilion, and Charlotte’s Pnc Music Pavilion.
Supporting RÜFÜS Du Sol on their “Summer ’23 Tour” are Monolink, Austrian electronic duo Hvob, and Channel Tres — the latter of whom will be performing DJ sets — depending on location.

"Bill & Ted Face the Music" was one of my favorite movies that I saw during lockdown. I saw many better films too, but there was something about the eternal optimism and good nature of William S. Preston, Esq. (Alex Winter) and Theodore Logan (Keanu Reeves) that made them feel like the kind of heroes we needed during a pandemic, one of the weirdest and most uncertain situations many of us have ever experienced.
Stuck at home for far longer than natural, it was comforting to hang out with old screen pals in lieu of our real-life friends. This may be why the era of Covid-19 also saw the unlikely phenomenon of people binge-watching old episodes of "Columbo." Perhaps there isn't too much difference between Bill and Ted and Peter Falk's shambling detective. The movies and the show are set in sunny California; the stakes are low; and the protagonists are unassuming,...

Rufus Wainwright has announced Rufus-Retro-Wainwright-Spective!, a livestream tour where Wainwright will perform all nine of his studio albums.
The livestreams will see the singer-songwriter performing his albums in chronological order, one album side at a time, starting on Friday, October 9th, with Wainwright performing the first side of his debut album Rufus Wainwright. Dates for the first four albums have been announced, with more to come in the fall.
“Special times need special artistic ideas,” Wainwright says. “They also need leadership and unity but we are far from that here in the U.

Weezer’s latest music video sees them auditioning to be the opening act for none other than Wyld Stallyns, the band fronted by Bill S. Preston and Ted Theodore Logan in “Bill & Ted Face the Music.”
Their new song “Beginning of the End” is just one track on a soundtrack album in support of the film, which also features songs by Cold War Kids, Mastodon, Fidlar, Lamb of God and a few originals by Wyld Stallyns themselves.
Weezer’s track, which you can hear above, is about overcoming insecurity and taking the stage even though you’re “so scared,” and it fits well with the themes of “Bill & Ted Face the Music,” which grapples with the two heroes still working to fulfill their rock and roll destiny even decades after they went on their excellent adventure and bogus journey.

Weezer has unveiled the first song from the next installment of “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.” The song “Beginning Of The End (Wyld Stallyns Edit)” soundtracks “Bill & Ted Face the Music,” which opens on Aug. 28 in select theaters.
Wyld Stallyns, the fictional band of Theodore “Ted” Logan (Keanu Reeves) and Bill Preston Esq. (Alex Winters) returns in this third film from the franchise, only now the stoner buddies are married (not to each other) with children and they have one last mission: to find and record the song that will save music and unite the world. They have 78 minutes to do so.
As they travel throughout history on their quest, they encounter musical notables like Big Black Delta, Mastodon and Lamb of God, all of whom appear on the soundtrack.
