"Hey, guys! Let's make a movie!"
mhoward-9663320 April 2019
Wow. If I could choose "0 Stars", that would more accurately apply to this stinker! I honestly feel like everyone involved in this short film were all hanging out together one night, and the conversation went something like this-

Person #1: "Hey, have you guys heard of that old-time actress who killed herself by jumping off the Hollywood Sign?"

Person #2: "Oh, yeah. What was her name?"

Person #1: "Peg Entwistle. I was reading her Wikipedia page the other day. Seemed interesting."

Person #3: "Someone should make a movie about that!"

Person #4: "...Hey, we're not doing anything... how about we do it right now?!"

Seriously. It's that bad. If the $50 budget and absolutely laughable CGI effects don't turn you off, then the embarrassing attempts at acting most definitely will. The script is clumsily written, the directing is lousy, and the cinematography is practically nonexistent. I'm fairly sure a group of high school film students could do better with their iPhones. Do yourself a favor and pass on this one!

fitting tribute

A low budget perhaps, but a beautifully imagined tribute to peg entwhistle. the acting is excellent, the writing could perhaps have done with a little more time to build character & plot. this is a tragic story & a reminder of how hard things were a centuary ago. the most poignant scene is between peg & her father. they discuss their hopes & dreams, but both would be gone within 10 years. film makers need to practise their craft. this i suspect is just what this performance is about. everyone who took part should be proud to include this on their cv.
