- Camille O'Connell: You have no right! Those dark objects are my family's legacy!
- Klaus Mikaelson: Well, that's funny 'cause I seem to remember my brother Kol making them, so perhaps they've been my family's legacy all along!
- Camille O'Connell: [vamp speeds to intercept him, blocking his way] Give them back! Or I will take them back, and I swear you will regret this moment.
- Klaus Mikaelson: The only thing I regret is failing to realize how far you've spun out of control. And you can forget about leaving!
- Camille O'Connell: She was right, wasn't she? Aurora. She did this to turn you against me. To rob me of the one advantage I have over her, my humanity. And me like this, it's a problem for you, isn't it? Not the darkness. That you find intriguing. But the fact that I am out of control. I'm out of your control, and you hate it. Don't you? You have spent ten centuries getting the entire world to tremble at your name when really... you're the one who's terrified, Klaus. You are a scared little kid... convinced... he'll be tossed aside the second he isn't needed.
- [Klaus grabs her]
- Camille O'Connell: Let go of me.
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: [enters] You can't just force her to stay here, Klaus.
- Camille O'Connell: Finally, someone who's on my side.
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: Dont get me wrong. I remember when I turned, and you for sure shouldn't have a box of witch crap right now. But... you can't hold her hostage, either. Let me talk to her.
- Klaus Mikaelson: I hardly think now is the time for a women's empowerment meeting.
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: She died, Klaus, because she got caught up in the Mikaelson world, just like me. Just like Jackson. So yeah, she and I have a few things to talk about.
- Elijah Mikaelson: [finds Hayley crying] I don't know what to say.
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: [through sobs] Elijah, I've spent... the last twenty-four hours being
- [shakes her head]
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: so angry. At Tristan, at your family, at you, at Jackson, even, for always being so brave.
- [shakes her head]
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: But then I realized that I'm not angry... I'm not mad... I'm just guilty...
- [he moves closer, sits down next to her]
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: I wanted to blame you... Anyone...
- [sighs]
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: But the truth is that my husband died... because he loved me.
- [Elijah looks at her with understanding]
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: And loving any of us is a death sentence, isn't it?
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: Look, I know it may not seem like it right now, but what you're going through does get better. And there are people around you who are willing to get you to that part.
- [no answer]
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: Cami?
- Camille O'Connell: Yes, that's... very sweet, Hayley. And I think you should take your own advice. I mean, that is why you wanted to speak to me, right? To get some words of wisdom from the Mikaelson family therapist. I say admit it. It's not grief; it's relief.
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: What did you just say?
- Camille O'Connell: Oh, come on, it's just us girls. You don't have to deny it. It's obvious, you're in love with Elijah. And now that Jackson's gone, you're free. It must be *nice*, like a weight lifted.
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: [seething, but reins herself in] Hmm.
- [breathes deeply]
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: You're going through a really hard time now, Cami.
- [shakes her head]
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: But you are never, ever to speak to me about my husband again. Do you understand me?
- Camille O'Connell: I... I don't know what's wrong with me. Why would I say that?
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: You're manic. It's part of it.
- Camille O'Connell: [sighs] I think I wanted to make you feel... pain, like I do. And so, I said a evil, unfair thing, an untrue thing, Hayley.
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: Forget it. You're not you.
- Camille O'Connell: I thought I could handle this.
- Hayley Marshall-Kenner: You can. You will. You just need time.
- Camille O'Connell: I think maybe I should go... home.
- Camille O'Connell: [on cellphone] I'm guessing you might be a little bit mad right now. But trust me, you have nothing to worry about. I just want back what's mine, starting with my dark objects, and I figured I needed to get your attention, so do I have it?
- Klaus Mikaelson: In point of fact, you do.
- Camille O'Connell: Good. Then we'll be in touch.
- Bartender: [to Cami] Cami? Damn, girl, you look amazing.
- Camille O'Connell: You know... I feel amazing.
- Bro: [to bartender] Hey, four tequila shots, stat. And don't be afraid to move that sweet ass.
- Camille O'Connell: Real nice. She works hard, you know.
- Bro: Oh, yeah? How about you, gorgeous? Do you work hard, too?
- Camille O'Connell: Sure. As a matter of fact, right now...
- [her hands on his shoulders]
- Camille O'Connell: it's hard work resisting the urge to rip your throat out with my teeth.
- [he frowns, and she chuckles, then compels him]
- Camille O'Connell: You're gonna find an ATM, and you're going to max out your daily limit and leave that *nice* underpaid bartender the biggest tip she's ever seen. Then you're gonna meet me in the alley out back so we can have some real fun. And turn your hat around. You're an adult.
- [guy looks dazed, does as he is told]
- Bartender: [hands over two drinks] These are for you from the guy at the end of the bar. He was pretty insistent.
- [it's Klaus, and he waves at Cami]
- Aya Al-Rashid: [to her seer witch] Do you see it? The weapon!
- Ariane: All your family has endured, and yet the worst is still to come. Unending darkness lies before you. A lone figure... A pale horse... A flame that will burn you all...!
- Davina Claire: Josh...?
- Ariane: He will wake. It's both the blessing and curse of his kind.
- Davina Claire: Why did you help me?
- Ariane: Because Aya wanted you saved.
- [turns to leave]
- Davina Claire: Wait. Aya said that the witches of your coven were granted the power to have your greatest heart's desire. Did you make that deal?
- Ariane: Yes. And I will answer your real question as well. It was worth it.
- [turns, leaves]
- Ariane: [as Elijah appears behind her] You found it, which means you're gonna kill me. We both know I have no more answers to give you. And you cannot allow me to live with what I've seen.
- [he comes up behind her]
- Ariane: The things you keep hidden...
- [sighs, stands up, and as his hand reaches out towards her to brush away her long blonde hair to expose her throat]
- Ariane: I am released.
