On the Lindsay Bluth float, the sign says "If you want the truth vote RED WHITE and BLUTH."
The marching band of the famed Milford School appears in the parade, touted as California's Quietest Marching Band.
The float that Buster (Tony Hale) is portraying a prisoner on is a reference to the popular silent film comedy shorts. Near the end, Oscar (Jeffrey Tambor) freeing Buster from the float is done in the style of said films.
