Quotes

  • Hayley Marshall : [to the caterers]  Okay, you can't run out of whisky at an Irish wake. That's the one rule, okay?

    [to herself:]

Hayley Marshall : Whiskey is important.

    Elijah Mikaelson : Whiskey's important.

    [more serious tone:]

Elijah Mikaelson : I'm certain Camille would have appreciated...

    [gestures around him:]

Elijah Mikaelson : all of this.

Hayley Marshall : I hope so.

[looks over the crowd at Klaus standing all by himself]

Hayley Marshall : How is he?

  • Klaus Mikaelson : [alone on the balcony]  I assume Elijah told you. So, you understand why I prefer to be alone.

Hayley Marshall : He's hurting, too, Klaus. More than you know.

Klaus Mikaelson : And had it been our daughter's heart, would you still defend him?

Hayley Marshall : Don't use Hope.

Klaus Mikaelson : [softly]  Marcel was a son to me.

Hayley Marshall : Freya showed me what Elijah saw. The prophecies haven't been wrong once.

    [Klaus rushes past her]

Hayley Marshall : Klaus, after everything that you have done, all the people that you've threatened, tortured, killed, all the pain that you have put him through, he has always forgiven you. You have to forgive him.

Klaus Mikaelson : [considers that a long time, then:]  You sound like Camille.

  • Hayley Marshall : It was the only way to be sure, Elijah. And Niklaus, I think part of him sees that already. More than anything, you have to forgive yourself.

[Elijah walks past her, then turns back, grabs her, kisses her passionately]

  • Hayley Marshall : [deleted scene]  Hey. Freya, what's going on?

Freya Mikaelson : [very upset]  I had more prophecy visions. I saw who will stand against us. And it was Marcel.

[Hayley turns to leave, but Freya casts a spell that closes the door]

Freya Mikaelson : Can't let you go, Hayley. I'm sorry, I promised.

    [shakes her head]

Hayley Marshall : Oh, I see, so the women are supposed to keep the home fires lit, waiting for the men to return.

Freya Mikaelson : [softly, adamantly]  I have to stop what I saw from coming to pass.

Hayley Marshall : No. You need to show me.
