A wonderful documentary about a jazz staple in Philly. Ortlieb's was the go to place to hear great jazz musicians play well into the night. Ortlieb's beer was brewed at this location. Known as "Joe's beer", it was a popular beer in Philadelphia and throughout the region. The essence of the experience is captured nicely in this film. Great photography, excellent sound bites and of course outstanding jazz. It was a great place to sit enjoy some food, good drinks and hear some local and nationally known jazz musicians. The film captures the experience where impromptu jazz sessions happened spontaneously. If you are a lover of jazz or just a great story, I highly recommend that you take a few moments to watch.
