Demon Slayer season 4 has offered a lot of chances to witness growth in the series. This growth can be seen through characters who play roles both major and minor. The focus on Tanjiro’s character isn’t the only place where fans get to witness the depth in which many whose names also became forgettable after a point.

While it is not to say that the character in itself was forgettable, the fact that their role was too small to acknowledge. However, the series, especially Ufotable, has taken it upon themselves to take these minute panels and turn them into so much more. After Tengen Uzui, the latest example of this is through Muichiro Tokito’s character.

Star Trek: Discovery just ended after five seasons on the air. The Paramount+ spinoff series concluded the story seeing the Discovery captain, Michael Burham (Sonequa Martin-Green), trying to find the Progenitors’ technology, which was used to create humanoid life. Meanwhile, her crew set out to find and rescue her.
Here is how Star Trek: Discovery ended and what is next for the franchise.
How Did Star Trek: Discovery End?
Star Trek: Discovery’s series finale started where the penultimate episode ended. Captain Michael Burham disappeared through a portal and woke up somewhere with infinite gateways that led to exotic worlds. While there, she saw Moll (Eve Harlow). The two fought and then decided to work together.

I love Star Trek. It’s one of the most unique fandoms since it features multiple different properties in the same universe. Don’t get me wrong, I love Star Wars, but something about Star Trek that raises it to another level. There are so many shows that are unique in their own way. You have Star Trek T.O.S, Star Trek The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Enterprise, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Star Trek: Prodigy, Star Trek: Lower Decks, and Star Trek: Picard.
The point is that there is something for everyone. Fans are a little bit less toxic than other fandoms. My theory is that because there are so many shows there is at least one show that everyone can agree is good. So if someone were to, let’s say, hate Prodigy,...

This Star Trek: Discovery article contains spoilers.
Although Star Trek: Discovery season 5 is focused on a season-long quest for ancient secrets from before the dawn of history, there have also been a few episodes that have been almost standalone in structure. From the time loop in “Face the Strange” to the return of the Iss Enterprise in “Mirrors,” Discovery’s final seasons has episodic stories, woven into the bigger arc. And, out of all of season 5, episode 6, “Whistlespeak,” is probably the most standalone of the bunch.
In order to retrieve the latest clue to the Progenitor tech, the USS Discovery jumps to the planet Halem’no, a pre-warp planet. Here, Burnham and Tilly have to go undercover to not only find the clue, but also, repair some concealed technology. Along the way, Discovery pays homage to The Original Series, the prequel series Enterprise, and beyond. Here are the biggest Star Trek...

Way back in 2002, the excitement for Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones diminished somewhat. Late Night with Conan O’Brien sent Triumph the Insult Comic Dog to mock the fans lined up for the premiere, resulting in a segment in which comedian/puppeteer Robert Smigel launched nerd jokes at the assembly.
Most of the jokes were pretty obvious, including the last bit, in which a man cosplaying as Mr. Spock gained the knack for cursing and walked up and down the line with his middle finger extended. But while the perceived Star Wars vs. Star Trek rivalry has become an old toxic cliché at this point, the fact is that the two franchises don’t actually overlap very much in terms of their core missions. Trek favors optimistic philosophical inquiry and Wars emphasizes fantasy and adventure.

The second season of "Star Trek: Prodigy" is still awaiting a release date in North America, although French readers should be able to view it right now on the region-specific France.TV. The story of the cancelation of "Prodigy" is sad for Trekkies, as the kid-centric animated series, created by Kevin and Dan Hageman, was just growing into its own and emerging as a proper "Star Trek" series.
The premise was fun: in an unknown and distant part of the galaxy, a group of teenage aliens -- fleeing slavery in a mine -- discover an abandoned Starfleet vessel called the U.S.S. Protostar. On board, they meet a holographic version of Captain Janeway (Kate Mulgrew), who assumes the teens are Starfleet cadets and require tutelage. The teens are hotheaded, feisty, and brooding in the way that teens tend to be, but Janeway teaches them to operate as a crew and mature as individuals.

As much as we love them, the Star Trek movies have their share of mistakes. God stealing a starship, John Harrison revealing himself as Khan, McCoy shaving off his beard in The Motion Picture. But it looks like the movie franchise is about to outdo them all.
Paramount has officially added the next Star Trek movie to its 2025 release schedule. According to TrekCore, the project currently called Untitled Star Trek Origin Story will begin production this year, with Seth Grahame-Smith writing and Toby Haynes directing. The film will take place decades before the 2009 Star Trek reboot from J.J. Abrams.
And it’s a terrible idea.
First of all, there’s the question of the timeline logistics of the film. Although one would assume that the film will occur in the Kelvin Timeline, the alternate universe in which Star Trek (2009), Star Trek Into Darkness, and Star Trek Beyond take place, the...

Since its debut 1966, Star Trek has been about boldly going forward. And no Star Trek series has gone further forward than Discovery. After a rocky first few seasons set about a decade before The Original Series, Discovery found its place by jumping to the 32nd century, farther into the future than any other entry in the franchise.
As Discovery prepares to end its mission with its fifth and final season, fans might be wondering what’s next for the 32nd century and the TV franchise as a whole. With Strange New Worlds staying in Disco’s original pre-tos era and Lower Decks and Prodigy exploring the period after the Next Generation movie Nemesis, Disco’s exit seems to leave the 32nd century unexplored.
But not so fast, says Star Trek executive producer Alex Kurtzman. “I think you can expect more of [Discovery’s] 32nd century,” Kurtzman teases in an exclusive interview for...

Since 2017, "Star Trek" has gone through some dramatic ups and downs. The launch of "Star Trek: Discovery" that year was a clarion call for the franchise, announcing that "Star Trek" was back on TV after a 13-year hiatus. "Discovery," however, was notoriously expensive and not widely beloved. It was soon joined on CBS All Access/Paramount+ by an overwhelming glut of "Star Trek" shows, each one set at a different period in Trek history. There was a brief moment when six Trek shows were running simultaneously.
The streaming model, however, proved to be unprofitable, and Paramount has been slowly extracting all its eggs from the Trek basket in recent years. "Discovery" is about to debut its fifth and final season, "Prodigy" will likewise end after its next year, "Short Treks" is seemingly no more, and "Picard" recently drew to a close. A planned spinoff of "Discovery," called "Section 31" mutated from...

“I can’t believe I get to play the captain of the Enterprise.”
Anson Mount is sitting across from me on one of the Toronto soundstages for the Paramount+ series “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” which is set in the years when his character, Capt. Christopher Pike, led the legendary Federation starship with a young Spock and Uhura. We’re speaking on the sleek Enterprise bridge, and Mount is recounting the out-of-body experience he had the first time he sat in the iconic captain’s chair. “I had this immediate flashback to playing ‘Star Trek’ as a kid,” he says. “I don’t think a day goes by where I don’t at some point stop and think to myself, ‘I’m on fucking “Star Trek.”’”
“Strange New Worlds” is the 12th “Star Trek” TV show since the original series debuted on NBC in 1966, introducing Gene Roddenberry’s vision of a hopeful future for humanity.

Last night, Drake responded to Kendrick Lamar and the rest of rap’s anti-Drizzy cohort — sort of. During a stop on his Big As The What tour in Sunrise, Florida, Drake took a moment to get defiant amid the hysteria about Kendrick’s fiery verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” where the Compton rhymer took aim at Drake and J. Three of the 12 "Star Trek" shows to date begin with the same familiar narration, which was originally spoken by Captain Kirk (William Shatner) in 1966:
"Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise, its five-year mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before."
For "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1987) and "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" (2022), "no man" was changed to "no one." "Next Generation" was also a "continuing mission" and not a "five-year mission." That narration has come to represent the ethos of the entire "Star Trek" franchise, highlighting that the various shows and movies are about exploration, new life, and going boldly. Unlike the title crawl of "Star Wars," there is no talk of conflict, conquering enemies, or asserting dominance. In the original series, the narration played over a gentle...

Alex Kurtzman looks exactly how you’d expect someone to look at the end of a five-year-mission for Starfleet: relaxed, confident, and ready to bring the ship home. At least, that’s the impression he gives when he, showrunner Michelle Paradise, and stars Sonequa Martin-Green and David Ajala talk with Den of Geek about the upcoming fifth and final season of Star Trek: Discovery during SXSW 2024. You almost can’t tell this show has faced many trials and tribulations across its seven years on the air.
“It’s been an incredible ride for us,” Kurtzman declares during our chat, but quickly adds, “It was an incredibly bumpy first year.” Only a calm man can use words like “incredibly bumpy” to describe Discovery‘s inaugural season in 2017, the first new Star Trek television series since Enterprise went off the air in 2005. Match #1: Oba Femi def. Lexis King The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Oba Femi claims to be blessed by destiny and after another dominant performance, this time against Lexis King, there could be no stopping the Nigerian Superstar. Femi used his incredible blend of explosiveness and strength to keep King off-balance for nearly the whole match, but it was King’s past that came back to haunt him. Mr. Stone walked down the ramp and yelled at King, causing the challenger to leave the ring and shove him, but that left him wide open for more clubbing blows and ultimately a pop-up powerbomb.

At the very end of the first season of "Star Trek: Picard," after the story had concluded and everyone was headed back home, the violent bounty hunter Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) and Admiral Picard's close friend Raffi (Michelle Hurd) sat idly conversing. They reached out and began romantically holding hands, implying that the characters were initiating a romance. Previously throughout "Star Trek," both Seven and Raffi had only been seen having romances with men, so their respective bisexuality came as a pleasant surprise.
Sadly, at the start of the second season of "Picard," enough time had passed that Seven and Raffi had already dated for a while ... and had broken up. There was now a great deal of romantic resentment between them, and they had to struggle to fulfill their mission in the 21st century (the second season featured a time travel plot). The third season of "Star Trek: Picard," overseen by showrunner Terry Matalas, ended with an intriguing new setup. After the season's story had concluded, the action fast-forwarded one year to when Jack Crusher (Ed Speleers) had become a provisionary ensign in Starfleet. Jack, with his father (Patrick Stewart) and mother (Gates McFadden), took a good long gander at his new assignment, the Titan-a, newly rechristened the Enterprise-g. This new ship was to be captained by Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan), formerly the first officer on board the Titan-a, and the vessel was poised to go on its first deep-space mission with its new name.
Also on board were Raffi (Michelle Hurd), Seven's ex-girlfriend and also her first officer, as well as former Titan crewmembers Lieutenant Matthew Arliss Mura (Joseph Lee), Ensign Kova Rin Esmar (Jin Maley), and presumably Dr. Ohk (Tiffany Shepis). In a post-credits stinger after the final "Picard" episode,...

Chicago – One of the sauciest new jobs that has arisen from the digital era is that of “Influencer.” Gathering followers, showing off new products and using your personality is the job description in this age of clicks. Writer/director Alex Haughey explores this phenomenon in his new film “Under the Influencer,” which is currently available for download and streaming.
Rating: 4.5/5.0
Tori (Taylor Scorse) has been an influencer since shyly going online at age 15 to teach an eyeliner technique. Eventually her personality reaches a large audience, and she officially makes a living as an influencer. Ten years later, she’s still at it, but losing touch with the target audience. Her team gets more desperate, and her personal life starts to infiltrate the online persona, blurring lines in her life. What happens when someone is 25 years old and knows nothing about who she is?

As seen in the photo above, filming has begun on "Star Trek: Section 31," a TV movie starring Michelle Yeoh as Empress Philippa Georgiou, the "evil" counterpart to the deceased Captain Philippa Georgiou. Yeoh's character appeared in multiple episodes of "Star Trek: Discovery," and exited the series when she was recruited into Section 31, the "Star Trek" equivalent of the CIA. Section 31, outfitted with badass black badges, engaged in shady dealings on Starfleet's behalf, subverting the organization's ideals when violence was needed.
A "Section 31" TV series was rumored to be in production as early as 2017 when Trekkies noticed that the call numbers of the U.S.S. Discovery were Ncc-1031. An official Yeoh-starring series was announced in 2018 and several episodes were written. Eventually, though, the series was developed into a single televised movie event.

As Star Trek fans, we may quibble about certain aspects of the franchise. We all have our opinions about the best captain or the general ethos of the show. But we can all agree on one thing: Star Trek is about boldly going where no one has gone before. It’s right there at the start of the show!
And yet, for whatever reason, Trek producers seem obsessed with going backwards, excavating the years before the adventures of Kirk and Spock on The Original Series. First we got Star Trek: Enterprise in 2001, then the J.J. Abrams reboot in 2009, then Discovery in 2017, and again with the spin-off Strange New Worlds. In fact, until Discovery jumped ahead 900 years at the end of the second season, the franchise had not moved the timeline past 2002’s Star Trek: Nemesis.

For a year in the the 2010s, filmmaker Alex Haughey worked for a social media influencer — a job he quickly tried to put behind him.
“It was not a good job, but it was an interesting character study of this life outside of reality,” says Haughey, who went on to direct the low-budget supernatural thriller Prodigy, which was released in 2018 and eventually made a bit of a splash when it later streamed on Netflix.
Haughey was looking for his next project after Prodigy, and found it with Under the Influencer. “If you saw Prodigy, you wouldn’t pick this out as my next project,” he notes with a laugh.
Inspiration struck when Haughey happened to watch the 1962 French feature Cleo from 5 to 7, which centers on a singer who, while she lived decades before social media, still reminded him of the influencer he once worked for.
“Everyone handles her and pampers her.

After being lost for so long, Star Trek: Prodigy has finally made it home, and it’s bringing along an old friend. After Prodigy‘s well-regarded first season, Paramount+, the streaming service that touted itself “the home of Star Trek,” removed the shelved the completed second season before it had a chance to air.
Fortunately, Prodigy will return on Netflix on Dec. 25, starting with all of season one, with season two slated to release in 2024. Even better, Robert Picardo has confirmed via Twitter that he will appear in the second season as the Emergency Medical Hologram, better known as the Doctor.

“Star Trek: Prodigy” has set its official launch date on Netflix.
Season 1 of the animated series will debut on the streamer on Dec. 25. The announcement was made as part of Netflix’s annual Geeked Week.

With the move, “Prodigy” will be the first new “Star Trek” series to air domestically outside of the Paramount ecosystem since the revamped “Star Trek” TV universe launched with “Star Trek: Discovery” in 2017.
Per the official description of “Prodigy,” the show follows “a motley crew of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating a greater galaxy, in search of a better future.

On June 23, 2023, Paramount announced that it was going to remove several shows from its streaming service Paramount+ and cancel its animated Nickelodeon series "Star Trek: Prodigy" after the conclusion of its second season, due out in 2024. This announcement incurred the ire of Trekkies everywhere, as "Prodigy" would be left wholly unavailable to anyone who hadn't purchased a Blu-ray or DVD of the series. For a few days after the announcement, hard copies of "Star Trek: Prodigy" were in short supply, as panicked media collectors wanted to get their hands on a "Star Trek" show before it was seemingly erased from history completely.
A recent press release, however, has revealed a reprieve. Netflix has announced that it will be handling the presentation of "Star Trek: Prodigy" going forward.

Star Trek: Prodigy fans, rejoice! The series is boldly going to Netflix after its Paramount+ cancellation! The second season of Prodigy was halfway through production when Paramount pulled the plug, leaving fans floating among the stars with oxygen supplies steadily depleting. Thankfully, Netflix is picking up the previously aired first season with plans to air the second season once production is complete. Season one of Star Trek: Prodigy beams onto Netflix later this year, with the completed sophomore season coming in 2024.

When Paramount+ swung the axe on Star Trek: Prodigy earlier this year, fans were left questioning whether the completed episodes would ever air.
The Star Trek franchise is popular around the globe, so the very notion that any project would be scrapped with episodes in the can is surprising.
Thankfully for Star Trek: Prodigy fans, we have some good news to report.
Netflix has stepped in to save the day, announcing that Star Trek: Prodigy Season 1 will stream later this year.
Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2, which was in production when Paramount+ canceled the series, will debut in 2024.
"Thank you to our incredible 'Star Trek: Prodigy' fans, who championed not just a show, but a community that's always been connected by the belief that we build a better future together," said executive producer Alex Kurtzman and co-showrunners Dan and Kevin Hageman of the save.

After a break, the Star Trek franchise is returning to Netflix. The global streamer has picked up the animated kids series Star Trek: Prodigy for the U.S. and most international territories in a deal with CBS Studios.
It follows Paramount+’s decision in June to remove a number of originals, including Star Trek: Prodigy, from the platform in a cost-cutting content write-down and not to proceed with the previously commissioned second season of the animated show.
Season 1 of Star Trek: Prodigy, which was previously available on Paramount+, will be released on Netflix later in 2023. The second season, currently in production, will debut on Netflix in 2024. Excluded from the deal are Canada, where Prodigy is carried by CTV.ca and the CTV App, and in SkyShowtime’s European territories: the Nordics, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Central and Eastern Europe.

There was a time, not too long ago, when there were six "Star Trek" shows running simultaneously. When Paramount launched CBS All Access (now Paramount+) in 2017, the company put all its eggs into one basket, sextupling down one of their most lucrative entertainment franchises. First, there was "Star Trek: Discovery," a prequel to the original 1966 series. To keep viewers subscribed in between seasons, the studio launched "Short Treks" in 2018. In 2020, fans of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" were granted the follow-up show "Star Trek: Picard." That year also saw the debut of the self-effacing animated comedy series "Star Trek: Lower Decks." 2021 brought the kid-friendly, Nickelodeon animated series "Star Trek: Prodigy," and the "Discovery" spinoff "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" started up in 2023.
In recent months, however, "Star Trek" has contracted considerably. "Short Treks" has changed into "Very Short Treks," "Picard" came to an end, and "Prodigy" was notoriously canceled. "Discovery...

On June 23, 2023, it was announced that Paramount+ would be canceling its animated series "Star Trek: Prodigy" at the end of its second season. To add insult to injury, every extant episode of the series to date was to be removed from the service entirely. One can still find "Prodigy" on DVD and Blu-ray, but Trekkies might want to hustle if they want to see this series at all. The reason for the cancelation is likely due to the broad fallacy of modern streaming. Major studios, it seems, stuff their streaming services with expensive, high-profile programs to prove to the company's shareholders that their streaming services have a lot of abstract value. If the stock value stays high, then the services will continue to overspend on production. The actual popularity of the shows is irrelevant, and many have suspected that most streaming services have much lower numbers than they have let on.

Six seasons and a movie! Before Community made that phrase its mantra, it belonged to Star Trek… sorta. The release of The Motion Picture vindicated fans of The Original Series, who only grew in number after the show’s cancellation after three seasons in 1969. So successful were those films that the Star Trek: The Next Generation films were a foregone conclusion, with Star Trek: Generations going into production before the seventh and final season finished airing.
Outside of Tos and Tng, no other Trek series has gone onto the big screen, and Star Trek: Prodigy seems the least likely to break that streak. After all, the series was reportedly canceled and was ignominiously removed from Paramount+, the so-called “Home of Star Trek.” And yet, the show’s producers told attendees at Star Trek: Las Vegas that hope is not gone for the plucky animated series.

It was announced back in March of 2023 that the upcoming fifth season of "Star Trek: Discovery" would be its last. This marks the end of an era, as Paramout+ -- back when it was called CBS All Access -- launched with the premiere of "Discovery" in 2017. Meanwhile, the third and final season of "Star Trek: Picard" wrapped earlier this year, "Star Trek: Prodigy" will end after its upcoming second season, and the extant episodes have been pulled from the service entirely. The glut of new "Star Trek" is now seemingly at an end.
"Discovery" has struggled its whole life. It infamously abandoned the traditional episodic structure of "Star Trek," skewing toward the more popular, modern full-season story arcs. It also drastically redesigned the franchise, including new technologies and reworked aliens that looked nothing like what came before. The third day of Lollapalooza 2023 highlighted the big presence of several South Korean acts this year, including Tomorrow x Together headlining for the first time on Saturday (they performed earlier in the day in 2022) and the fest also featured its first-ever K-pop girl group NewJeans on Thursday, marking the group’s first-ever U.S. performance. It also featured great hip-hop sets, including headliner Pusha T.
The day also featured a steady course of rain, which muddied the fields and likely contributed to it feeling not as crowded throughout the day as Thursday and Friday.

If there’s one thing Star Trek fans understand, it’s that cancelation doesn’t mean the end. The original series famously got one more season after fans flooded the NBC offices to protest the cancelation after season two. That same fan support brought Trek back two more times, first as The Animated Series and then as The Motion Picture.
Despite having history on their side, you can’t blame fans of Star Trek: Prodigy for getting nervous when the show was apparently canceled after one season and removed from the streaming service Paramount+. The final episode of the original "Star Trek," an episode called "Turnabout Intruder," aired on June 3, 1969. It was an inauspicious end for the now-celebrated sci-fi series, as the episode was, by its very construct, blazingly sexist. In the episode, Sandra Smith played Dr. Janice Lester, an ex-lover of Captain Kirk (William Shatner) who uses an eerie new technology to shunt her consciousness into Kirk's body and put Kirk's consciousness into her own. She aims to impersonate Kirk because she was never able to attain the rank of captain herself. This is the only time in "Star Trek" history where it is said that women were, by Starfleet's own rules, not allowed to be captains. Additionally, there are several lines of dialogue about how Lester's female emotions are clearly getting in the way of her judgment, and how she resents her own sex.
This has thankfully been ignored by all modern "Star Trek" writers.

This Star Trek: Strange New Worlds article contains spoilers.
With the third episode of its second season, Strange New Worlds seems to rewrite the canon of The Original Series. But what makes “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow” so interesting is that the episode itself is smartly understated. Despite the seismic events within the story — including at least one parallel timeline and the death of a major character — this episode still feels intimate, in the tradition of The Original Series, specifically the classic “City on the Edge of Forever.”
In fact, despite all the specific easter eggs, in many ways, “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow” is one big easter egg for “City.” With that in mind, here are the spoiler-filled references and callbacks for “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow,” complete with stone knives and bear skins.

Well, Paramount+ went there.
The streaming service on Friday canceled a wave of original series, and there are some shockers.
Before we dig into the cancellations, the canceled shows will be removed from its platform as the company takes a content write-down.
The news isn't too surprising. HBO Max opened the floodgates for the likes of Showtime and Starz to pull shows off the air and their platforms.
In fact, some shows didn't even see the light of day. It's a precedent that is a stark reminder of how media companies are set up nowadays.
We'll begin with Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, which launched earlier this year.
Despite a strong critical response, the series will not be returning.
"Before rock 'n' roll ruled, before the T-Birds were the coolest in the school, four fed-up outcasts dare to have fun on their own terms, sparking a moral panic that will change Rydell High forever,...

The answer will only become clear down the line, but in the meantime Cannes Classics itself is playing a substantive role in preserving and celebrating cinema, an artform now over 125 years old. Each year, the festival section headed by Gérald Duchaussoy screens a curated selection of newly-restored classics, a lineup in 2023 that includes Hitchcock’s Spellbound (1945), the Armenian romantic drama Hello, It’s Me (1965), Bertrand Tavernier and Robert Parrish’s documentary Mississippi Blues (1983), the German drama Es (1966), and the 1934 French comedy Ces messieurs de la Santé.
‘El Esqueleto de la Señora Morales’
“We want to represent as many cinématographies as possible,” Duchaussoy tells Deadline, employing a French term that refers to the whole of a film and its techniques.

For fans who loved Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 1, there’s some good news: the second season isn’t trying to reinvent the show. In fact, in some ways, Strange New Worlds season 2 might feel even more like what the first season promised to be. Debuting just two months after the conclusion of one of the most tightly serialized Star Trek seasons ever, Picard season 3, Strange New Worlds returns with the same goal it had in its first season: to tell throwback, self-contained stories with a different tone, every single week.
But that doesn’t mean the scope is the same. In 2022, Strange New Worlds left two unresolved cliffhangers dangling — the departure of La’an (Christian Chong) and the arrest of Una (Rebecca Romijn) while also hinting at the idea that we will...

In the "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" episode "Trials and Tribble-ations", Captain Sisko (Avery Brooks) and several other members of the "DS9" crew had to travel back in time to avert a crisis. It seems a time-traveling assassin had inserted himself into the events of the original series "Star Trek" episode "The Trouble with Tribbles" and Sisko had to go undercover next to Captain Kirk (William Shatner) to prevent a bomb from blowing up. Using revolutionary special effects technology, Sisko, Dax (Terry Farrell), Dr. Bashir (Alexander Siddig), and others were inserted rather seamlessly into an episode that was shot 30 years prior. It was a novelty for "Star Trek," and one of the few times the franchise revisited its past in such a manner.
Many years later, "Star Trek: Prodigy" would do something similar in the episode "Kobayashi". The teenage Dal (Brett Gray) wanted to take a holographic version of Trek's...

Shared universes are all the rage at the moment. Between the MCU, the revamped Dcu, the slowly building Tolkien Cinematic Universe, and the ever-rolling behemoth that is the Star Wars universe, viewers barely have enough time to watch all these streaming shows, movies, and other random assorted bits of content if they want to keep up.
Then there’s Star Trek. Despite being well over 50 years old, this shared universe is bigger than ever and riding high on the success of its latest offering, season 3 of Picard. Most importantly, it’s doing things a tad bit differently than the other big-brand universes currently out there. In fact, Star Trek has become a shining example of how to pull off a shared universe on television.

The makers of upcoming animated sequel "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" understand the myriad Spider-Men that have appeared in the character's history, and out of the 240 character models created for the film, many are Spider-People. With each new trailer, Spider-Fans have been keeping their eyes peeled, looking for the parallel Spider-Man they like best.
Most Spider-Fans will likely shake their heads in dismay, however, when you bring up the infamous Clone Saga. In mid-1990s Spider-Man comics, it was revealed that a supervillain called the Jackal had cloned Spider-Man in an effort to, I dunno, sow discord. One of the clones, going by the name Ben Reilly, continued to fight crime as a hero called the Scarlet Spider, a fellow who sported a ripped hoodie.
Natch: It would eventually be revealed that there was a mix-up, and Ben Reilly was actually the original Peter Parker. For a spell, Ben Reilly was the "main" Spider-Man.

This article contains spoilers for the series finale of "Star Trek: Picard."
The acclaimed final season of "Star Trek: Picard" has come to a stirring and satisfying end — and, with it, the conclusion to the decades-long journey of Patrick Stewart's Jean-Luc Picard and the rest of the beloved crew of explorers from "The Next Generation." But part of the difficult task laid on the shoulders of showrunner and director Terry Matalas involved uniting multiple different shows set around the same time period. That meant tying together loose threads from "Deep Space Nine" like the Changelings, long-missing members of "The Next Generation" such as Ro Laren (Michelle Forbes), and characters from "Star Trek: Voyager" including Tuvok (Tim Russ) and Jeri Ryan's Seven of Nine.
By the end of the finale, the dual threat of the Borg and the Changelings are vanquished once more and seemingly for good. Pulling off...
