The director, Bijan Karim, played to all of the actors' strengths and gave them suiting fighting styles.. The filmmaker does Aikido, Lawrence does Tae Kwon Do, Goldberg was imagined as a straight brawler and Barry levenstein is a Wing Tzun fighter. The fight between Ray and Robert is supposed to be a brawl between two skilled Muay Thai fighters.
Due to the low budget of the film, shop lights were used to light most interior scenes.
