Hot girl summer will be in full effect as Megan The Stallion embarks on tour later this year. The rapper revealed on Good Morning America on Jan. 30 that a headlining run is in the cards for summer 2024 — though tour dates have yet to be revealed — with an album on the way, too.

Taking their locally legendary sketch show from a cramped stage beneath a Chelsea grocery store to movie theaters across America, the only thing Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp couldn’t save was its original title.
“In 20 years, when the culture has changed, we’ll put out a director’s cut,” Sharp joked to IndieWire in a deep dive with Jackson ahead of the pair’s feature film debut. “The movie will be the exact same, just with the name ‘Fucking Identical Twins.’”
The creative partners’ basement triumph, better known these days by the only slightly more family-friendly moniker “Dicks: The Musical,” was stuck in Hollywood development for over a decade. Now, it’s A24’s scrappy first stab at the song-and-dance genre: a raunchy-bordering-on-rancid “Parent Trap” redux born out of the Upright Citizens Brigade, with Jackson and Sharp playing opposite bonafide Broadway legends Nathan Lane and Megan Mullally.

A viral clip led fans to speculate about a possible argument between rap star Megan Thee Stallion and former Nsync member Justin Timberlake during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). But a spokesperson has confirmed the two artists were simply excited to meet one another.
Fans quickly responded on X after a clip showed Megan reacting to Timberlake with hand gestures. She raises her finger in Timberlake’s direction while shaking her head from side to side, saying something indistinguishable on the video feed. Timberlake then walks away from the “Hot Girl” rapper.
A spokesperson has since clarified the clip taken behind the scenes of Tuesday night’s live broadcast, actually showed two artists excited to meet each other.
Megan later posted a TikTok with Timberlake, with the two smiling. In the caption, Megan confirms the artists had no beef. “I just talk with my hands lol,” Megan wrote. “See ya next time @JustinTimberlake.

Let’s ride. Charli Xcx has shared “Speed Drive,” her contribution to the soundtrack to Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. Listen to the song below.
“Speed Drive” is another welcome addition to the “Charli Xcx Songs About Cars” canon. The track, produced by Easyfun, interpolates Toni Basil’s “Hey, Mickey!” with Charli’s classic calling cards: electronic melodies and boosted bass that’ll make you want to blast through red lights at 100 miles per hour.
The Barbie soundtrack has inspired a ton of campy singles so far, including Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World,” PinkPantheress’ “Angel,” Karol G’s “Watati,” and Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night.” Executive produced by Mark Ronson, the album will also feature Haim, Tame Impala, Dominic Fike, and even Ryan Gosling in the appropriately titled “I’m Just Ken.” The soundtrack drops in full July 21st, the same day the Margot Robbie-starring film hits theaters.

Any good movie about a pop star needs some actual business experts on its crew. Good thing David Lowery has enlisted Charli Xcx and Jack Antonoff to write and produce the original soundtrack to Mother Mary, the filmmaker’s upcoming A24 feature.
Mother Mary will star Anne Hathaway and I May Destroy You wiz Michaela Coel as a fictional musician and fashion designer, respectively. A press release describes it as an “epic pop melodrama” that follows the “relationship” between the pair. Will that relationship be platonic? Business? Romantic? All three? Who knows?
This is neither Antonoff nor Charli’s first rodeo when it comes to film soundtracks: Antonoff has produced a handful of tracks specifically for movies over the last decade, notably last year’s star-studded Minions: The Rise of Gru Ost. Charli, meanwhile, did the original single “Hot Girl” for the slasher comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies, also an A24 flick.

Happy Pretzel Day
“The Office” launched “Superfan” editions of all six of its Season 1 episodes on NCBUniversal’s streaming service Peacock Monday in honor of Pretzel Day — the greatest of all days.
When “The Office” arrived on Peacock in January after leaving its longtime streaming home Netflix, the first batch of “Superfan Episodes” for the beloved NBC sitcom were also added to the platform. However, those 23 “Superfan Episodes” were all supersized Season 3 installments, with Peacock promising extended cuts would be coming for the shows other eight seasons at a later date.
Now they’re back with Season 1, which includes extended cuts of all six first-season episode of “The Office”: “Pilot,” “Diversity Day,” “Health Care,” “The Alliance,” “Basketball” and “Hot Girl.”

The weird sisters of Bram Stoker’s Dracula are doing it for themselves. Greg Berlanti and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who brought the devil out of Riverdale to spawn Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, are shooting pilot for The Brides for ABC.
The project goes back to 2015, when NBC put in an order for a script. For ABC’s desanguinated re-incarnation, the script will be written by Aguirre-Sacasa, who will executive produce alongside Berlanti and his head of production company, Sarah Schechter. This new series promises to move “stronger into horror and sexuality as it reimagines the classic vampire characters.” The pilot will be directed by Maggie Kiley. ABC Studios and Warner Bros. Television will coproduce the series.
The project was announced back in January. The Brides is technically ABC’s first pilot order of the 2020-21 broadcast season. It is the first shot across the bow for Karey Burke, who as ABC’s...

Gotham alumna Erin Richards has landed the remaining title role opposite Gina Torres and Katherine Reis in The Brides, ABC’s Brides of Dracula drama pilot from Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros Television.
Written by Aguirre-Sacasa and directed by Maggie Kiley, The Brides, a sexy contemporary reimagining of Dracula, is a family drama with a trio of powerful female leads at its heart — Cleo (Torres), Renée (Richards), and Lily (Reis). With strong horror elements, The Brides is a vampire soap about empowered, immortal women and the things they do to maintain wealth, prestige, legacy — and their nontraditional family.
Richards’ Renee is the head of a top modeling agency in New York City, known for her torrid affairs with her beautiful female models. In her former life, she was the wife of the Marquis de Sade when she invited Dracula (Goran Višnjić) into her “house of pain” and asked to be “turned” by him.

Hop on Twitter, and you will find a multitude of posts from frustrated black women decrying everything from cultural appropriation – to be clear, Kim Kardashian did not create cornrows – to the deplorable and racist way four freshman congresswomen of color have been villainized by the Potus.
In contrast, much-needed moments of levity by black women and for black women are much harder to find. That’s going to change when HBO’s “A Black Lady Sketch Show” premieres Friday. Funny, irreverent, subversive and self-aware the series, created and executive produced by comedian Robin Thede, is rife with brilliant bits meant to be shared via social media. Every episode (HBO previewed the first six for critics) has at least three noteworthy sketches that will make viewers revel, ruminate and post. Even the title sequence, which features puppets and Megan thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl,” is sharable.
