Marginal Marijuana Comedy

Warning: Spoilers
The horseplay in this half-baked crime thriller about two African-American half-wits--Icy (Brian Hooks of "Fools Gold") and Dre (E-40 of "Blade: Trinity")--who break down in the sticks and harvest a white pot grower's cannabis crop is so ridiculous that you have to see it to believe it. While our heroes are hauling off the herb, Icy loses his wallet at the scene of the crime, and a group of armed and dangerous redneck bikers launch a search for him. Meantime, the pot farmer is facing certain death because he had promised to deliver his weed to some guys who lack a sense of humor. Icy and Dre sell this great grass, and their customers rave about it. Mike Epps, who received top billing, hangs around just long enough so you can recognize him, and then the gifted black comedian vanishes never to be seen again. The bikers roll into Oakland where Icy lives, and a snoopy neighbor who lives across the street, Miss King (Luenell of "Think Like A Man"), calls up Icy and warns him that white guys are breaking and entering his house. She alerts the police, too. Meantime, Icy's best friend Dre is have a martial squabble with his wife because she suspects that he is dealing. Eventually, the hillbilly bikers abduct Icy's girl and the finale involves a big shootout in a warehouse. Icy calls in an army of friends who come heavily armed, including one fellow with a bazooka. Clocking in at 76 minutes, "What Are The Chances?" appeared on DVD as "Don't Get Caught." The "Don't Get Caught" part must have referred to viewers who get caught with this less than hilarious idiocy. Simply said, the comedy is lame, and the best joke appears on a redneck's Tee-Shirt: "I'm Not A Gynecologist, but I'll Take a Look." At least, the people who make this lackluster epic lensed it in the widescreen process 2:35 so the cinematography is interesting. Definitely, this is not in the same league with other pot comedies like "Grow House" and "Friday."
