It's ROMEO AND JULIET, people!
sj_rowan7731 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
To all of the reviewers complaining about this storyline, please head back to English 101 and brush up on R&J.

Elizabeth = Juliet Tom = Romeo (the boy Juliet's family doesn't approve of) Red = Capulet (J's father) Mr. Kaplan = the Nurse / Juliet's mother figure Dr. Nik = Friar Laurence

Nik/Friar and Kaplan/Nurse conspire to get the newlyweds away from Washington/Verona.

To do this, Lizzie/Juliet is given a drug to make her seem dead. She later miraculously comes alive from her grave.

Tom/Romeo meets up with her later and in theory, they are reunited and run away from their disapproving families.

For crying out loud, Amar QUOTED the play at Liz's grave. It doesn't get more obvious.

This isn't DC Comics. It's far more sophisticated.

The episode went like: You want a booming surprise ! okay, Here are Two :D
Aktham_Tashtush20 May 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Well that was "Two" hell of surprises .. and i was like okay ..i can deal with the lose of Liz .. and they made us actually believe the show is going to continue with out Megan Boone and then Boom out of no where .. she's here and not just that but her real dad is here too !!

So since the episode where Keen died, Jon Bokenkamp (the creator and writer of the show) promised that the finally is going to be even more shocking than Liz being dead .. and i was seriously prying for that to be true then four episodes later he made his promise, and to be real and fair this finally is the best finally the show had and one of the best episodes overall.

The thrill peaked perfectly, they dragged us into believing that the story of who killed Keen would end happily by this finally then with a huge turn of event opened a vast door for fourth season gonna be full of action and new plot "which what they show present every finale".

Before all of this, I kinda had a feeling that somehow Liz's dad could appear to make a new story ..and i had a bit of that on Liz might come back but then episodes have passed and no Liz so to me the surprise of Liz was had a high percentage of unpredictability.

Finally i think the show by this finale proved that it gets better by the end of each season and always make us eager to know what the new story is gonna go like.

Keep it up guys the good performance by the whole cast and the creative writing by Bokenkamp.

That is not Baracoa, Cuba, those are Havana's buildings with a staged Airport, Abel Santa Maria airport is Santa Clara's Airport and is not that one....Also foreigners can NOT buy properties in Cuba.....besides that its a good episode, please writers, document yourself better before putting out there a set that most people will believe because they dont know

1 star because Liz comes back
akiarora1 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I love the show, but hate Liz. Liz is awfully stupid and annoying, can't stand her character. Giving this episode 1 star because it appears that she's still alive.

Finally get to be too much
jerome-e20 November 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I watched seasons 1 and 2, and liked the shoe, albeit that Reddington can't seem to ever lose, and Liz Keen is a bit shallow. Season 3 built up the whole thing about the Cabal and how it must be destroyed. Since that is the underlying plot, obviously an even larger, and more ominous enemy was needed. So far, I'm going along. I was (somewhat) taken by surprise by Liz Keen's death, but I figured maybe Megan wanted out of the show, or something along those lines. We get a few episodes with Reddington in mourning - which were actually good and different and showed him more human that he usually is. Soooooo.... what happens? Keen ISN'T dead. I'm sorry. That was the last straw for me. Suspension of disbelief, fine. But this borders on the laughably moronic. Sure, mm-hmm. She's NOT dead. I'll buy that. And Tom will probably turn out to be the alter ego of Mattias, because he's a shape shifter. No sale. Lost me.

Warning: Spoilers
She was dead and now who came back. That episode was ridiculous. Probably next season Ressler will die and come back to being superman.

Melodrama/Luke, I'm Your Father!
Hitchcoc17 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Since I'm viewing these episodes long after they aired, I will admit I saw the actresses name on an upcoming episode. I've known for some time that Liz was still alive. Once again, her tiresome presence comes forth. While Red continues to seek revenge (he says "justice") on Alexander Kirk, the principle figures go about being erratic and trying to deal with it. Don, once again, helps to screw things up with his anything-for-the-law stuff (despite about three fourths of the leadership has no respect for the law). So once again, Tom, a vicious killer and felon, carries the little baby around with him, taking her off to Cuba. And Kirk ends up there too. Now all kinds of questions need to be answered. We do get a total bull-roared explanation of how Elizabeth's death was staged. So, see everyone in Episode One, Season Four.

The medical explanation was such a BS
mail-shadow12 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was waiting for the explanation, i knew Elizabeth wasn't dead since i had started to watch the Blacklist again when there were already 7 seasons out.

As a medical professional (anaesthesiologist) the whole explanation just isn't plausible.

Ok, so he put her under general anaesthesia, then intubated her and ventilated her, he could have also fooled Raymond that her heart stopped, but they did long CPR on her, and then they just took out the intubation tube and she lay there, she would have needed a lot of anaesthesia in order not to become awake during her cpr and ventilation, even if we allow the possibility of him reversing everything with opiod and benzo antagonists, the moment of her waking up would have been the time the whole theatre to reveal its charade.

We saw them in the Van, Elizabeth with no tube and she was not breathing, so a quick brain death would have made sense since it took Kaplan some minutes to get her into the body bag where she could have been antagonized without Raymond knowing.
