A charred corpse has been found in the Brocéliande forest. Near the corpse the finds a 13 years boy who is speechless. The gendarmerie lieutenant Marie Delorme, who is in charge of the case, has a complicated relationship with her companion. First she has to look for the identity of the young boy: then was the boy witness of the murder ? Marie's brother Roman who is child psychiatrist will take care of the young boy.
