There's more M. Night on the way, so rejoice! Or despair ... depending on how you feel about the beloved horror-thriller writer-director. But you should be rejoicing. M. Night Shyamalan has signed a multi-year first-look directing and producing agreement with Warner Brothers Pictures Group, through which he has set his next film, "Trap."
Not much is known about "Trap," other than the fact that it is currently in the works at Blinding Edge, Shyamalan's Philadelphia-based production company that has partnered up with Warner Bros Pictures. It will be the filmmaker's next project as a director and is currently slated for an August 2, 2024 theatrical release.
Under the new agreement Shyamalan has made, Blinding Edge Pictures — which is run by Ashwin Rajan, president of production — will develop original projects for the filmmaker to direct, produce, or both for both Warner Bros Pictures and New Line Cinema. The "Knock at the Cabin" director said...

The comeback of M. Night Shyamalan continues. Deadline has reported that Shyamalan has inked a multi-year, first-look directing and producing deal with Warner Bros. Pictures Group.
M. Night Shyamalan has called Universal Pictures home for the last eight years, as they’ve released all of his more recent films, including The Visit, Split, Glass, Old, and Knock at the Cabin. Under this new agreement with Warner Bros., Shyamalan and his production company Blinding Edge Pictures will develop original projects which he will produce and/or direct.
“Where I write and direct is my home,” Shyamalan said. “Disney and Universal, where I’ve made most of my films, will always be home and family to me. Warner Bros. has a storied history of cinema. Through its recent experiences, the company has rediscovered its love and appreciation for filmmakers, and the impact of the theatrical experience. We all win when movies succeed in theaters.

M. Night Shyamalan already has his eyes set on his next movie for Summer 2024, but in a twist worthy of one of his movies, it will come from Warner Bros. Pictures. The director and his production company Blinding Edge Pictures has signed a multi-year, first-look film deal with the studio.
It’s a big get for Warner Bros. and New Line, both of which recently have made a push to lock up other first-look deals with Akiva Goldsman, Baz Luhrmann, and “Barbarian” filmmaker Zach Cregger. What’s more, Shyamalan’s recent stretch of box office hits, including this month’s “Knock at the Cabin,” and dating back to “Split” in 2017, have all been released by Universal.
There’s no details yet for Shyamalan’s next film, titled “Trap,” but it’s set for release August 2, 2024. Warner Bros. will also release “The Watchers,” which is the directorial debut of the director’s daughter,...

Survival thriller aficionado Andrew Traucki has commenced production on his latest project The Reef: Stalked, a sequel to 2010’s The Reef.
Filming began today in Queensland’s Bowen and will continue for six weeks.
Teressa Liane (The Vampire Diaries), Ann Truong Kate Lister and newcomer Saskia Archer make up the cast, playing four friends on a kayaking and diving trip in Papua New Guinea that soon goes sideways.
Much like in the original film, the group must face down a great white shark, with this instalment exploring resilience, recovering from trauma and the strength of female friendship.
“I’m thrilled The Reef: Stalked is in production and back to Bowen where we shot parts of The Reef 11 years ago,” writer/director Traucki said in a statement.
“As a lover of survival tales, there is nothing I enjoy more than storytelling that pits humans against nature and asks the question ‘How would I survive?...

Okkervil River have released a new song, “In a Light,” marking their first piece of new music since 2018.
“In a Light” is an expansive country-rock tune filled with organ, piano, pedal steel, rich harmonies, and intertwining guitar lines that occasionally take the song into spacier realms and lead an exuberant closing jam. Frontman Will Sheff explained in a statement that he wrote “In a Light” with guitarist Will Graefe, and that Okkervil River recorded it around the time they were making their 2018 album, In the Rainbow Rain, but that the...

It makes a certain kind of sense that Bad Trip, Eric André’s entry into the Gonzo Comedy Hall of Fame (see: Jackass, Borat, Bad Grandpa), starts in Florida. Not that the other 49 states of this fine U.S. of A. don’t have their share of goofballs, chowderheads, numbskulls, fuck-ups and jag-offs; it’s just that this particular Southeastern one has a reputation for American eccentricity that results in eyes bugging out, jaws dropping and shit going very wrong. Those “Florida Man” headlines are well-earned.
And the “Florida Man...

The music video for Yandel’s new single “Solo Mia,” featuring Maluma, is out Feb. 9, and it doesn’t disappoint. The video has a futuristic vibe with Yandel standing in an all white Matrix-like tunnel and Maluma dancing in a similar, but all-black tunnel dotted by lights, forming a succession of circles. A stunning model moves between each of their underground worlds.
“I’m here with Maluma, one of the most powerful exponents of this genre. I think this will be a historic collaboration and video,” Yandel, 41, said in a promotional behind the scenes video shared with People Chica. Maluma,...
