Exciting story with rare deep reflections on Burlesque
fabianopetricone6 December 2020
Finally an entertainment documentary that describes the phenomenon of Burlesque on a planetary scale in a documented, not ideological way. Through a compelling storytelling, the docufiction tells the story of burlesque from the nineteenth-century origins and then describes with many testimonials the current reality of burlesque and how this art has adapted to contemporary culture. Moreover, finally it becomes clear and it is said unequivocally that burlesque is not a strip tease! Among the many merits of this work there is an accurate historical documentation, the mixture of (apparent) lightness of the story, rigor of the documentation and depth of reflections, many interviews and a decidedly enjoyable narrative flow.
