- Sydney trusts Jeff but asks him after the low salaries; Gunter doesn't sign the contract at first. Jeff explains Sydney that the hotel builders have free board and lodging. Jeff informs Gunter he withdraws the contract offer to avoid mixture of business and family. He tells it Sydney. She worries when he can't be reached after a stressful call. She discovers that he canceled their flights for tomorrow. It turns out there are illegal workers. Did Jeff know that all the time? Torben refuses to comply with Carla's request to have his seed in the sperm bank destroyed. Gunter tries to convince Torben to do the opposite. Britta informs Carla that being able to procreate children is important for man's self-esteem. Torben and Carla reconcile. Ben misses his bike after the barn in which he parked it, burned down. He shows Britta a cheap bike he found on the Internet. Britta blabs towards Carla she wants to surprise Ben with a bike tour. She visits the fire brigade to invite Ben to come with her. He becomes enthusiastic when he finds a chopper outside. They tour together that day and at the end of the day they have dinner in Carlas. At home they kiss each other. Thomas informs Mathis that he signed the buying contract for the Fire Academy. The day of the youth fire event: Mathis and his fire crew, Merle, Thomas, Kim and many children are there, Sydney bakes waffles, Simone shows up with her photographer. Thomas asks Simone publicly to play the victim during a fire demonstration which she reluctantly does. She is honored in front of the gathered people for her generous gift to the Fire Academy. Thomas announces her the godmother of the academy. Mathis asks Dennis via Hannes to help the fire brigade with the removal.
