A poster of the fictional "Avengers 3: Civil War 2" is shown behind Jack Davenport (representing a fictional Doctor Strange-type character) early in the episode with artwork of a similar design to Thanos' space craft in the real Avenger's sequel. This, coincidentally, is also a major plot point with Avenger's: Infinity War (2018), of Doctor Strange being held captive on said craft. Interestingly, this artwork predates any released by Marvel for Avenger's: Infinity War (2018).

Ike Barinholtz's character Morgan refers to Superhero Movies as "Low Brow". Barinholtz appeared as "Griggs" in DC's Suicide Squad.
