The raging tide we held inside will hold no more

That lyric from the song from Camelot I Loved You Once In Silence is the perfect title for this Blue Bloods story. At least insofar as Vanessa Ray and Will Estes when they both confess feelings for each other. Working in those close quarters the inevitable will happen.

It starts when Estes and Ray rescue a young woman Ariane Reinhart from living in a shelter where her laptop was stolen by one of the denizens of the place. The two get it back but then Estes offers to have her live at his apartment until she can find a place. That gets Ray all kinds of jealous.

Donnie Wahlberg and Marisa Ramirez have their part of the story continue over from a previous episode. Danielle Savre shoots and kills Chris Conroy her abusive boyfriend from the last episode. She did it, no doubt, but what led up to it could make a big difference.

Finally Tom Selleck has the distasteful duty of disciplining a much decorated officer who was with his young daughter when they walked in on a holdup at a convenience store. Even off duty Roger Cross was supposed to get involved. It's not an easy call to make, but the Reagans are about family if nothing else.

This episode is a winner.

Writers need to watch the show. In season 1 Jamie was practically crucified for stepping in off duty to save a woman and this guy is crucified for NOT stepping in, even though his daughter was with him. Which is it? Any good parent would put their child's safety first. I did not like this story line at all. I've seen them all and this is the most frustrating. We see a side of Frank I don't like, but we did see his true self in the end. That was the best part of the episode and one of the best endings of the series.

Love the thread involving Jamie and Eddy. Of course we are all hoping they get together. Everyone but the two of them knows they are in love.

Danny and Maria's thread is boring. Same old same old. But I did appreciate seeing the compassionate side of Danny beginning to emerge when he made the arrest. Wish more episodes were less Danny and more of everyone else.

Warning: Spoilers
A woman is very much concerned when her ex-boyfriend, who she claimed molested her, has now taken up with another woman. Eventually, the former kills the guy and claims self-defense, but no one witnessed what actually occurred and with a weak attorney, it appears that she is heading for prison.

Frank has some dilemma when a sergeant does little during a robbery at a convenience store leading to the shooting death of the store owner. Why was little done? The sergeants young daughter was with him in the store and he was protecting her from the line of fire. Frank does a turn-around on this one and I believe it was well appreciated and the right thing to do.

Jaime and Eddy finally show how much they like each other and Jaime shows his kind side by taking in a woman who has really come on hard times.
