This special episode of Siskel & Ebert has them taking a look at silent movies and trying to explain to people why they should give them a chance. We start off having them look at the silent comedies from Charles Chaplin, Buster Keaton and even Harry Langdon. From here we move to some epics from DeMille as well as the beautiful ladies like Greta Garbo and Clara Bow. Finally, at the end, each critic gives their opinion of the best silent for people to watch if they don't like silents. Those films include GREED and THE THIEF OF BAGDAD. This was certainly a great episode and especially if you're a fan of silent movies like I am. This episode certainly shows off some great films and people yet not once is D.W. Griffith mentioned, which to me was a crime.
