Effective and suspenseful

A simple but extremely effective psycho thriller short story, told in 22 minutes. Gave me the creeps.

OK well our friend the babysitter in this story thought the exact same thing and once she meets the boys imaginary friend he turns not only the night but the world of these two inisisent victims terribly upside-down and they might not even make it threw the night much less another visit

This show deserves more viewings.

"Room 104" is a new anthology series set in a single room of an average American hotel. The first episode is weird, creepy and it will make you 'wtf', but it has interesting dialogues and crazy story. It's well done! Since on IMDb says it's a comedy/drama, but this episode is definitely horror. Maybe some story will be funny, but I'm looking forward to next episode. I think this show is entertaining and deserves more viewings, give it a try.

10/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Ralphie is a very strong start to Room 104, which is kind of a mash-up of Twilight Zone, Tales of the unexpected, Black Mirror and Inside No. 9 and of course Tales from the Darkside. Ralphie keeps you on the edge of the seat and it's quite dark and you wonder what will happen at the end and it ain't going to pretty in room 104. You can check out bit you can never leave it seems.

Anyway, what was frustrating was the absence of the single father on "a date" and the insinuations and expectations of that. What's a babysitter to do? Anyway, Ralphie is worth watching once to see how Room 104 has a lot.

Great acting on this episode!

The great plot & storyline of this show is given an extra push, by the phenomenal actors in this episode. Melonie Diaz, Ethan & Gavin Kent are all nominated for acting awards, for this episode. Spoiler: the reveal at the end of this episode is both creepy & astounding, considering the boys were only 10 years old, when this was filmed!

Imaginary friend of a little boy gets the best of a babysitter!
blanbrn12 August 2017
This the premiere episode of "HBO's" new series "Room 104" from the Duplass brothers really struck a nerve. As it's clear the episodes are creepy, on the edge with suspense and they take a twist. Episode 1 titled "Ralphie" involves a man actor and his little boy named Ralphie and a babysitter(Melonie Diaz)and upon arrival at Room 104 the sitter is asked to keep little boy Ralph for awhile, while daddy goes out for auditions only his meetings might be having affairs with other females. Soon it appears that Ralphie is strange and a tormented soul, he starts to worry his sitter in a dangerous way. Is the mind playing tricks on everyone or is another Ralphie in the room? Or is an imaginary friend present? Anyway once daddy returns to the room he finds that grave means have been reached for the sitter and little Ralphie. Overall fun strange episode that twist with a surprise and wicked turn great way to start the series.

Really?

Warning: Spoilers
The set-up was good, the pay-off could have been creepy, but are you trying to tell me that the babysitter didn't go to the bathroom in the almost 5 hours she watched the kid?

And going of what the kid says, it's plausible to think that he's had lots of babysitters before, and neiher of them needed a bathroom break either?

I'm not one looking for plot holes, but when they scream you right in the face I get annoyed.

This just wasn't realistic

Warning: Spoilers
The babysitter thought that the kid was in danger. Even tho he wasn't, if she legit thought that- She could have just screamed for help or go to the lobby. They all were in the middle of an hotel. The problem is the location- If the story was set in a hole in the middle of the desert that would make more sense (There was no one around to help her).

HBO needs to provide a warning that this is a super creepy horror show
warowe-7739214 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I was browsing new titles on HBO and I thought I'd try one episode of this. I'm casually watching, not really enjoying but figure I'll watch the episode it until the end... Then I watch a little boy get murdered by his babysitter and his father holding his limp body in his arms. I hate horror, and I never would have watched this if I was given any sort of warning about the contents. Sick. I would have rated this on HBO but there was no option to do so. Pretty pissed. I feel like I could have watching a horror episode without child murder to be warned about the fact it was a horror series. It wasn't even intellectually interesting like Black Mirror. Just flat out child murder. Screw you HBO.
