Few country songs have had the success of Lady A’s classic 2009 hit “Need You Now.” The song was a massive hit at its time, peaking at number-two on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming one of the most digitally downloaded songs ever. Its success translated into four Grammy wins, including Record and Song of the Year. However, no other country song has won the top categories since, despite hits like Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line’s “Meant to Be,” Gabby Barrett’s “I Hope,” Sam Hunt’s “Body Like A Back Road,” and Dan and Shay’s “Tequila” being nearly as successful in recent years. What made “Need You Now” beat the odds for its win, and when can we expect another country song to take top honors?
First things first, we need to look at country’s history in Record and Song of the Year. Five country songs...

Bebe Rexha proved that she's satisfied in her own skin. The "Meant to Be" singer shared a new TikTok on June 29 that showed off her body while wearing lacy blue lingerie. Her video began with her asking, "How much do you think I weigh?" She strutted up to the front of the camera, and said, "No ones business." Rexha continued, "Cause I'm a bad bitch no matter what my weight [is]." However, she did add, "But let's normalize 165 lbs," revealing how much she weighs. "Feeling like a bad bitch today," her caption read. The Brooklyn native spoke to E! News on the 2019 iHeartRadio carpet about body positivity, "I used to get...

To predict who’s going home with Musical Event of the Year at the 2021 Academy of Country Music Awards, let’s start with who will probably not win. Keith Urban and Pink’s “One Too Many” didn’t make much noise, or at least not as much as the other nominees, so that one is out. Also, this category seems to go for all-country collaborations over pop-country crossovers; songs like “Old Town Road” (by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus) “Meant to Be” (by Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha) and “Setting the World On Fire” (by Kenny Chesney and Pink) have all lost to lower-profile songs despite being huge country hits, probably because of the pop artists they feature. So “Nobody But You” (by Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani) might also be at a disadvantage here.
Any of the other four nominees could realistically win here. Lee Brice...

Singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha will make her feature film debut in “Queenpins,” a crime comedy starring Kristen Bell.
The movie, from STXfilms, is inspired by a true story of the largest coupon counterfeit scam in history. It centers on a suburban housewife (Bell) fed up with being overlooked by her husband and society. So she tries to take back control of her life by starting an illegal coupon club and ends up scamming millions from food companies with her fellow coupon clippers. Rexha will play a computer hacker named Tempe Tina. The cast also includes Vince Vaughn, Paul Walter Hauser and Kirby Howell-Baptiste.
Rexha, who previously voiced a role in STX’s animated family film “UglyDolls,” is a Grammy nominated artist best known for songs including “Meant to Be,” “I’m a Mess” and “Me, Myself & I.”
“This is a perfect film for Bebe to be making her live-action film debut.
