Working with Fulci
25 Years with Fulci (2016)
*** (out of 4)
This here is a highly-entertaining featurette that has Maurizio Trani discussing his long working relationship with director Lucio Fulci. Trani starts off talking about an issue the two had on DON'T TORTURE A DUCKLING but then gets into stories dealing with WHITE FANG, ZOMBI 2 and of course MANHATTAN BABY (which is the disc this featurette is on). If you're a fan of these films or the work of Trani then this here is a must-see. Clocking it at just over eleven-minutes, this featurette doesn't go into ground-breaking details but it's certainly fascinating learning about the men's working relationship including a few times where they didn't see eye-to-eye. The highlight of the stories told involve the splinter scene from ZOMBI 2 and how the effect wasn't even done when it was time to film.
