At some point Dean mentions to Beth that their hockey-playing son will be a "bantamweight" next year. "Bantamweight" is a boxing classification. "Bantams" are 13 and 14-year-old hockey players.
Later Dean talks about teaching his son how to take a slapshot, so clearly Dean is not a hockey n00b -- he'd know the difference between bantam and bantamweight.
