Warning: Spoilers
Gregory Jbara, as Garrett Moore, is really given an opportunity to act in this episode and he comes through with a wonderful performance when he is accused by Frank of ethics violations. That plus separating from his wife gave Jbara some red meat to turn in a very solid performance. Frank tells him to come clean or resign.

Ethics seems to be the key theme in the episode. Erin is faced with testifying for a man she helped put away for 10 years for murder, when new evidence exonerates him from the crime committed. Problem is that the man is totally off the wall and even goes so far to threaten Erin.

Danny is still on Jamie to move up the ladder to detective on the force, but the latter remains adamant that he is content to what he is doing on the streets daily. Danny can use this argument again when Jamie finds there is something funny that a police officer did not respond right away when the victim was the guy's wife. A twist ending regarding who the real killer was is surprising, but in a love triangle, you can almost expect anything.

The best detective he knows

Gregory Jbara who watches out for Tom Selleck's public image comes under fire for taking too many complimentary perks. Selleck faces a real crisis in his official family because of that.

Bridget Moynahan may have put away an innocent man. But Devin Rattray is not in prison, he's in a mental facility. They have their own rules about commitment and there's a sharp disagreement between Moynahan and others in her ofrfice about whether to keep him there.

Will Estes has suspicions about the conduct of paramedics Robert Eli and Samantha Steinmetz at the scene of an overdose especially since the aided was Maria Rambourg who is Eli's wife. Estes takes it to the best detective he knows Donnie Wahlberg. You'll have to watch to see f Jamie Reagan was right.

Garrett's Job
jahern_200029 August 2019
In the episode it looks like Frank Reagan doesn't understand how Garrett does his job and leaves him high and dry having to pay it all back. Seems like an unrealistic plot element to me
