This isn't a Comedy but it does have comedic lines, and I did laugh at most of them but the 'Your Mama, too.' (i.e. clichéd jokes) were typically lame. So, a task force is looking into a biker gang working with a Russian. The story is point A to point B, which usually bugs me but here: not so much. The acting wasn't that bad in the beginning but gradually it did get a bit worse for wear. The Director, who plays the bit part of one of the bikers named 'Bear'fake was actually pretty funny and I thought he should have been in it a little more to cut down on some of the redundancies throughout.
The 'action' scenes lacked any real (metaphorically speaking) action. Such as a scene in the beginning where the Russian is having another man beat this dude sitting down who apparently stole from him, or something (don't really remember.) You can tell the hits were fake, and the dude's reaction to them lame and corny. Also, after the Russian shoots him and blood splatters everywhere, there's no bullet hole on the dude's body that would warrant that amount of splatter. The head in the bag actually looked more real than not, however the Russian holding the head with the face showing obviously looked like the actress was just crouching. Typically, blood splatter is the 'action' when it comes to any shooting, except maybe that sniper shot near the end. Yes, there's a shootout with the bikers but too much splatter just made it a bit humorous, and not in a good way.
Probably not done on purpose (or was and I should give more props to people) but I like the double entendre of the title "Blue Iron". Overall, I actually liked it. It wasn't perfect by any means but it wasn't the worst thing ever, either. I wanted to give this a 6/10 but I couldn't. The acting (as stated) just got a little bit worse than some of the free-flowing lines in the beginning and writing was all over the place.
