The small town at the centre of the drama - where the Howells live & have their offices - is Laugharne, Carmarthen, S Wales, and was the last home of the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas until his death in 1953. The castle features in views from Faith's house and The Boathouse - Thomas' home - can be seen in the background of some shots. Laugharne is pronounced 'Larne'.

On Wednesday, 22nd January 2020, BBC Cymru Wales and S4C jointly announced that the hit crime drama has been commissioned for a third and final series. Filming on series three begins in 2020. The third series is expected to air on S4C in October 2020 and on BBC One Wales in February 2021 and will be available across the UK via the BBC iPlayer.
In a recent interview, Eve Myles revealed that she was the only member of the cast who couldn't speak Welsh coming into the project. She also said that learning to speak Welsh was the biggest challenge of her career so far but that she likes challenges.
