For a decade starting in 2005, writer/producers Ben Acker and Ben Blacker produced a stage show at La’s Largo at the Coronet, later adding a popular podcast in the style of old-time radio.
The show featured a Who’s Who of young acting talent (known as the Workjuice Players), culled from TV, film, stand-up, sketch, animation, and the theater. Guest stars included everyone from Joseph Gordon Levitt and Weird Al Yankovich to Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, and more. The podcast received over two million downloads.
Now, the show has returned in a livestream version, bringing back the regular cast, who will be “on stage” via Zoom. Three shows in April and May having raised over $50,000 for food banks in La, NY and other Us cities.
The next show arrives Saturday, May 23, at 5 Pm Pt/8 Et, and features guests Nathan Fillion (The Rookie; Firefly), Mark Proksch (What We Do In the Shadows...

Here's everything we know about the next installment in the ongoing Dirty John anthology series.
Another limited series that just couldn't stay limited, Dirty John is coming back for a second season in 2020. We'll be moving on from the story of charismatic Con Man John Meehan, which was first spun into a successful podcast by Christopher Goffard. The first season was a surprise hit for Bravo and co-producer Netflix, and the network and streaming service will likely be hoping that season 2 claims just as many viewers, if not more.
Season 2, Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story, will lay out an "epic true tale of love gone wrong — a story that spans the 1960s to the ’80s, through the breakdown of a marriage that Oprah deemed one of 'America’s messiest divorces' even before it ended in double homicide," according to the official logline.
Here's what we know so far.

Mel Weinberg wanted a sandwich.
I was sitting next to his bed in a nursing home near West Palm Beach, Florida, in mid-March. He specified: He wanted a corned beef with coleslaw from the nearby Jewish deli, like they made them back on his home turf in the Bronx.
I hesitated. At 93, he was largely confined to a wheelchair, legally blind and toothless. Would he even be able to eat it? I tried an evasive tactic: "Do they have you on any particular diet?" I asked.

With credits on beloved and critically praised series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Supernatural, Adventure Time, and Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return, Felicia Day is easily one of sci-fi and fantasy’s most recognizable faces.
She’s also become a legend within the geek community, getting involved not only with fellow artists and friends’ productions like Con Man and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-a-Long Blog, but building her very own massively influential geeky empire through Geek and Sundry.
Most recently, Day had a highly anticipated guest arc on Syfy’s adaptation of Lev Grossman’s popular trilogy The Magicians, which just delivered a stunning season three finale.
Her three-episode long appearance as Poppy – a Brakebills student trapped in Fillory’s Abyss, eventually discovered by Quentin and Benedict on the fourth key quest – was both too short, and impressively eventful.
From dark, invisible voices and a visit to Fillory to dragons and love triangles,...

If you’ve been clawing your way tooth and nail to get Hamilton tickets… good news!
Hamilton’s Cats, a mewsical so good that cats don’t despise it, is hitting Hollywood for one night only, thanks to the star power of Fred Willard (Modern Family), Emily Deschanel (Bones), Wendi McClendon Covey (The Goldbergs), Mindy Sterling (Con Man), Kirsten Vangsness (Criminal Minds), Nicole Sullivan (Black-ish), Bethany Joy Lenz (Dexter), Elaine Hendrix (Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll), Carla Jimenez (The Mick), Brendan Robinson (Pretty Little Liars), Lori Alan (Sponge Bob Square Pants), Maiara Walsh (Switched at Birth) and Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats, a 501c3 and the only 100% feral cat socialization facility in all of southern California.
Consistently scoring two unopposable thumbs up, Hamilton’s Cats tells the story of a small-town cat rescue that decides to put on the musical Cats as a fundraiser for their organization. Sadly, no one is interested...
