The title "Wiz Khalifa Ft. Charlie Puth: See You Again" summarizes it nicely I would say as you can read the names of the two performers, a singer and a rapper, and also the name of the title of this song that is featured in this music video from 2015. Director is Marc Klasfeld and he is not too famous I suppose, so this is a contender for his most known and most successful work. After all, it has like almost 4 billion (!) views on Youtube since its release. Impressive stuff. Nonetheless I was not too impressed I must say. The singer is decent (poor man's version of Sam Smith you could say), the rapper is also not as bad as I usually like the music genre. But all in all, it is not good enough, probably also because I am not a fan of the F&F franchise. If you are, then you will like, maybe even love this music video as it features actors and scenes from the series from start to finish. And they key of it all is of course the late Paul Walker, who died in a tragic car accident around that time and this is somewhat his tribute. What else can you say? Oh yeah, this one was nominated for a Golden Globe and there was big buzz around it and the tribute to Walker story that people considered this for a threat at the Oscars even, where it eventually did not even manage the nomination. I think that's accurate and honestly I am not too fond of how they tried to use Walker's death for the success of this song and music video. Or I should not say "tried", but "succeeded" I suppose. Anyway, for me it is not a failure, but also not good enough for a positive recommendation. Thumbs down. Watch something else instead. Listen to something else instead.
