Everything Sucks! (2018)

Series

1st Season

Episode One - Plutônio.

For those who created fanfic for Lucas and Dustin from Stranger Things, this is the series, although I think Dustin doesn't really like what Lucas can offer..

It's a light series, to watch on a cold afternoon.

I have a slight impression that the trailer gave away almost everything, but it's a comedy series so, theoretically, the moments and these mini adventures are good to follow.

Previous Series: Ms Marvel (2022)

Episode one of the first season of the Miniseries Everything Sucks! Watched on May 9, 2024.

Rating: 8/10.

Plutonium (#1.1)

Warning: Spoilers
The pilot has boys coming to a high school. Luke has a crush on a sophomore girl who is also principal's daughter.

Well finally a show about the 90's. I am not sure if I will like it. Peyton Kennedy's acting is pretty bad although it may get better. Maybe this is just a portrayal of a very stiff teenager who always seems unnatural.

I kind of liked the idea of Kate's father being a principal. The character of Ken Messner seems to be pretty good. It is also interesting that she seems to be a lesbian .

So far the best were the 90's references. Bring more of them!

Oh, the beautiful awkwardness...
GraXXoR20 July 2020
This show hits the road running, charmingly nerdy cast, awkward teens on a backdrop of 90's angst.

It's clear that a lot of love and care has gone into every aspect of this, from the pop references that steep the show in atmosphere to the tastefully playful dialogue that always manages to elicit feelings of "yoinks!!" while managing to avoid shallow cringe.

I'm amazed that the characters already seem to appear onscreen fully fledged and are written with enough EQ and depth that we are sucked into their daily, Boring travails...

Very good

Warning: Spoilers
Everything Sucks - Episode one Starting my eighth series and as I watch, I also do amateur criticism. It appears to be a funny and very enjoyable miniseries to watch. Why is Dustin from Stranger Things wearing a wig and acting like a girl? Tyler seems to be the funniest in the group. Luke is very exaggerated in his acting, when he forced himself to cry behind the camera, it made me want to laugh more than cry. I missed the bracelet that hit my wrist and closed. I'm from 1996 so I kind of picked up on that era. Nostagic but very awesome. Wait next episode. Episode one watched on March 15, 2024.
