This film has serious heart. It's topical, well executed and oozes emotion - it's the best film I've seen all year.

Lights a spark in all of us

Saw this film three times. Truly honors immigrants from all walks of life and ties into how we are all connected as one. Powerful lead actress Aina Dumlao brings something so simple and human yet so powerful because you are right there with her on her journey. The world for generations will relate to this story of Diwa. I am honored I got a chance to experience it.

The story of Diwa feels like something that could happen to anyone in her shoes... it's moving, thought-provoking, and heart-wrenching. The film is beautifully shot, flawlessly acted, superbly directed, and the music is a perfect compliment. I was thoroughly impressed and applaud the filmmakers for the outstanding job in tackling such an important subject matter.
