Now that World War II ended nearly 75 years ago, this documentary is timely. It looks at the impact of war on the civilian population of the places where that War was fought. Since the film-maker interviewed Lithuanians in St Petersburg, Fla, about their War-time and post-War memories, the focus is Lithuania, but the film is relevant to all of Europe occupied by the Soviet Union or Soviet satellites in the 1940s. A couple of shots at the end of the film remind the audience that it is sadly relevant still to refugees from any fighting across the world.
