True Sovereignty
macodaphoto25 November 2018
No greater example of sovereignty of Heart have I seen in a long, long time, both in those who were filmed, and those who filmed.

If you get a chance to see this on the big screen, do it. Your Heart will soar and your eyes will weep tears of grief and joy at the depths, and heights, this film takes you to.

Take a bow Katrina Costello. This Earth is blessed by your presence.

I'd love to see an extended cut/special edition released. This world is in dire need of more profundity.

Remarkable story....Unimaginable beauty!

The beauty of this film takes one's breath away as falcons soar over ancient hills dotted with cobbled stones and water ripples through old woods that hold centuries of stories of life in the Burren of Co. Clare, Ireland. It is poetry come to life, balancing inner peace with the brutal beauty. Patrick McCormack, a 5th generation farmer, a poet and an activist for the preservation of the land, takes us on a journey of love and respect for a way of life that seems a cross between a bygone era and myth. The cinematography is stunning, the editing top notch and the story remarkable, a film not only worth seeing, but seeing again.

A surreal spiritual beauty
john-138-9049084 September 2020
I just watched this and it's one of the most beautiful pieces of film I've seen in years.

It's based on a legal battle about preserving a unique landscape but it's so much more, it's a bout a man's connection to the place and all our connections to the Earth we live on. It mixes poetry, music and the beauty of that landscape.

I will watch this again, I would have loved to see it on the big screen but the TV was good enough.

Personally I know the Burren well as I hiked it a few times and after seeing this film I feel it calling me again, mythical mystical Ireland.
