Reminds me of 'the west'
GreenTintedSpecs20 July 2018
Many similarities to the west really is what became apparent, the lies, the religious doctrines, the violent culture, the history of conflict, the inequalities, the lies, the sexism, the far right. Just a different setting with different languages over different time frames

Reign of Terror
abcvision20 July 2018
The United States has been at war with terror for more than a generation. No matter where the violent strikes in the world there are some similarities that identify these terrorist cells. In this movie you really get a sense of the behind the scene perspective of these terrorist. It's fascinating to watch the candor in the moments captured on the videotapes of these young man smiling laughing and enjoying fellowship. All the while planing and executing some unimaginable violent acts. A reality of the modern world, terrorism is a complex phenomenon. This movie takes you to the frontlines of terror. I was there!!
tariq_libra131028 August 2018
I went to Saudi Arabia in 1996 as an eight years old and lived there for fourteen years. Never realized that I have lived through such a troubled time in the Kingdom's history. The documentary showed Al Qaeda's attack on a compound in Khobar and it all came back to me as I was in the city at that point and I did hear about it the same evening. Sadly we lost one of our neighbour who was in THAT area and was shot dead! Hats off to the Saudi Special Forces who eradicated these menaces who are hell bent on using religion as a veil to carry out their evil deeds. The documentary was an edge of the seat thriller and as a Muslim, it was even more disgusting to see how the actions of few are tarnishing the image of the Islam.

A must watch!

HUMANISING ANIMALS
PaulPogues26 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I Really enjoyed this documentary! It started off like the spoof film "Four Lions". The terrorist doing his video before his "mission" was laughing and joking! Saying he needed to start again as people were making him laugh. It was more like a blooper reel of outtakes than a menancing message of fear! We only ever see pictures and short videos of terrorists where they look scary with their machetes and their guns! This documentary shows them in their own safe spaces messing and joking around with each other before the suicide missions. It's quite strange to see this side of it! It somewhat humanises them! They're just young guys who are very misguided! The playfulness of the documentary doesn't last too long though and before you know it you're not laughing anymore. There's some pretty grim footage of deaths but also some great footage of shootouts, a lot more up close and personal than you seem to see on the news! It's quite a simple documentary in regards to what it's about, it doesn't go too much into politics or surprisingly religion for that matter, it's more just a timeline of events. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would Definitely recommend it to fellow Docu lovers!

Not much, other than blah blah blah's
pauljamesross18 March 2020
Disappointing documentary for myself, personally speaking. Footage of tapes, video were at times very grainy and awkward in viewing, wasn't very informative viewing... Lots of useless pyrotechnic explosions, lots of terrorists trying to be heroes, dialogues of lots of blah, blah, blah's I kinda lost interest 15minutes in... The narrator was useless. The documentary was below average. 4 out of 10 for me

An untold story
hblankslf17 July 2018
This film tells the story of Al Qaeda members operating in their home country and the Saudi government's efforts to defeat them. No talking heads, just extraordinary, compelling footage, both seized from Al Qaeda and shot by the Saudi security forces.

Tense, gripping - a must-see.
nicole-helsing19 July 2018
This is not an easygoing film, as you might imagine. Taken from archival footage from Al Qaeda we get a deep look into terrorist organisation operations in the early to mid 90s. Fascinating stuff.

LOVED THIS
markarenacps23 July 2018
Rarely do I end watching a film/ documentary unable to move from my seat - processing slowly what I have just seen. This is a brilliant and powerful piece of filmmaking - and left me mulling over so many issues that it stayed with me for days. Loved this for a whole range of complex and compelling reasons. A must see.

These clowns have no friends, then they finally meet people they share the same interests with and then they kill themselves. Morons.

Chilling look into the reality and humanity of Jihadists
An amazing look into the Jihadists that usually have a nameless and faceless presence. They seemed more like misguided youths similar to Antifa or the far left in America. However their heavy doses of fundamental Islam makes them even more willing to wreak havoc and cruelty for what they believe is a greater good. Must watch.

I know I shouldn't laugh but...
gordonbennett26724 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
It reminded me of Four Lions only that was a spoof whilst this unfortunately was very real. Still when the suicide bomber in his car full of explosives runs out of petrol just before reaching the target one couldn't help thinking whether the whole thing was not a set up.

Sadly it wasn't and what's truly terrifying about it is there are plenty of people out there who can't wait to blow themselves up for their god in order to clinch a place in heaven. The West better look out I reckon.

Eye opening and more than a little haunting
albertdavis-3659427 July 2018
Path of Blood is an unconventional documentary. Its use of personal footage filmed by strikingly young followers of radical Islam seems to make it all the more impactful. Narration is completely unbiased and neutral, allowing the viewer to form their own opinion as things pan out, and it's not afraid to show you the raw parts, or clips that are gory - this is the unfiltered reality of the situation. More people ought to see this film; it both humanises and exposes. Real food for thought.

A unique and special way of demonstrating Al Qaeda by exploring real footage of a specific gang. What an incredible intake, thank you!

It viewed as if the Saudi's (Ruler. Prince etc) were controlling the director of this found footage dross!
silicontourist27 January 2021
I was looking really looking forward to watching this documentary but ended up so disappointed! I have watched a great deal of documentary programs over the years and, a number of them have been about the arrogant nature of religious factions; including the cruel and unnecessary Al Qaeda, ISIS and Taliban etc. It seriously lacked in detailed and informative info/directive from the narrator; 50% of the reason why it came across in such a droll and utterly boring style. As such it made me think that this is not the style of documentary makers/narrators from the West therefore, something else had to be going on. The Saudi Royal family (the government of their country) was the only conclusion I could theoretically come up with. I say this because I had a continuous feeling all the way through that this was a feature length advert for Saudi self glorification. I have seen it happen so many other times when the subject involves Saudi Arabia. I'm not going to say any more except how can you send, so called, special forces personnel (who always appeared in this to be numbering about 50 or more) that end up leaving peoples homes, businesses etc utterly blown to pieces...and the area looking like a bombed out Stalingrad. Special Forces are small stealth groups who act in well planned missions whereas the views here looked totally chaotic and gave the terrorists too much information. A good narration would have made this BORING doc so much more gripping and entertaining!
